Guild Wars 2

I play an engineer in spvp and I have this problem where when someone comes right up to me I go to use pistol skills and they never happen but a cooldown starts on them anyhow. It’s only when someone is right up in your face and often circling around you. It’s like I can’t back up or get away to get distance so the skills then never activate yet the stupid cooldown occurs. I only get like half my shots off.

It happens to a lot of ranged casting skills in close combat.
