Is it just me that misses the old frees? The current ones might as well be dead. 30+min queues, and if you pug it theres always 1-2 who are afk or do not turn up since they forgot they queued so long ago.

Paids are ok, but I am bored of a 1v1 matchup which is not even a real “tournament”

Id like if they made frees 1vs1.
And of course its not a real tournament. Its a legacy holdover word being used to describe the new emerging system.

Bad idea for fix.

It would make it too easy for people to get tickets, and to easy to join paids 24/7, which is still the only way to get QP’s.

Unless daily AT’s will become the only way in the future to earn QP’s, they really should keep paids as something that is hard to do and has a little cost as well.

By making frees fast and just one round, it’s way too easy to farm tickets.

Make winning just give you a gold chest. and make 50% of chests give you tickets.
So , assuming you win 50% of tournies, thats 3 or 4 matchs to a tickets. similar to now.

They said in the SOTG that they were looking to fix the rewards. They have to keep a certain balance though.

who cares about QP’s… what u get for them?

1 round free tournaments with 1 ticket reward —> 3 ticket fee for paids.

Agreed. There used to be kind of a ramp up when you started playing/testing a new build. OK, I can hold my own in hotjoin, now let’s try frees. OK, good enough, on to paids! Now there’s sadly no middle stage of testing. I’ve been trying to bring back my old P/P condition build, it works great in hotjoin, but any time I’ve tried to test it in frees, it takes almost an hour for one to pop, and when it does, one person doesn’t accept on my team, so we’re stuck with a 4v5. At this point, someone else figures out that we’re outmatched and leaves as well. Long story short, I can’t tell if my build sucks for survivability or that’s just a byproduct of being outnumbered 5-3 lol.

Frees were just awesome to test and practice new builds before taking them into paid. Please make Frees 1 team vs. 1 team too, so we do not have wait 30 Minutes for that.
