I bought 20 arena tokens, thinking I could make an arena for my guild… but I don’t have a starter kit to make it.

So the custom arenas are still in beta? Why can we buy tokens if that’s the case..?

Yes, they are still in beta.
Tokens are for people who already have an arena and wants to increase its duration.

Whelp, I totally misinterpreted those patch notes.

To avoid any further confusion.
The arena time tokens are used to prolong the existence of the arena they’ve been used in. That is, you don’t need to be the owner of an arena to use tokens to prolong its existence. I haven’t used them myself, but as I understood it, you simply join any CA and use the token.

So keep them for the future

Wow anet… so people need to pay for a beta function with gems. How sad is this?

Not as sad as saying there is a wvw patch and releasing more pve content. Or not nerfing classes because it will effect pve but having them nerfed in spvp.

Just release the custom arenas. Already, you would have to be a loner to fund anyone but your guilds.
