downed state to me, ruins the prospects of teamdeath match. Heres my example.
Red team vs Blue team
5v5
Red team downs 4 of blue whilst blue team only downs 1 of red. But if blue manages to finish off that 1 red dude they all rally. The whole rally and downed state thing kills PvP IMO. PvE I think its a nice unique system that works well with the idea of no tanks healers or dps per sei. But PvP ….nope chuck testa.

i think downed and rallying is working as intended.

so dedicate a mes or ele or engie to distortion/mist stomp/elixer s
or a guard/war to stability stomp
or a thief to stealth stomp
or a necro to shroud stomp (possibly with DS)
Or just literally focus fire the downed person with your 5. He’ll melt in no time.
If you leave 4 people downed, and they downed one of yours and u let them stomp, then the problem is with your team. Not the mechanic.

interesting, i thought it is a problem of rally at all, not downed state, but this is good point of view there should be always someone able to stomp in team fights, if not, thats strategy fail, not mechanic

If a team with 4 guys alive and vs 1 guy alive cannot ress the only guy from their team down, they deserve to loose…
your forgetting that the one guy alive can also use stability to down that one guy downed to res his 4 downed teammates…the 4 downed people also have depending on class cc etc of their own….its not going to work.

4 people ressing one guy have more than enough time to bring him up while the stomp goes off
Zanthrax, you make it sound like downed state makes whole combat system luck based. Maybe if all you do is play hotjoin then I can see why you have that vision. Get a team you can communicate with and you’ll notice that downed state is needed with current class balance.
