Guild Wars 2

I got a weapon reward box from the Arah reward path and i opened it on my engineer and chose the warhorn for my warrior. Unfortunately the warhorn was souldbound on acquire. Is this supposed to be the case? I kind of assumed it would be accountbound on acquire and soulbound on equip. It’s not a huge deal and i can get a new warhorn easily enough, but it seems odd to be able to get a soulbound weapon unusable by your profession.

Ps. i wasnt exactly sure what thread this would go under, so i decided to put it in spvp as its a only problem.

Had the same thing myself , got the chest on my ele , saw that i can pick any kind of weapon , i was like hey that just saved me 3-4 gold and picked the longbow for my warrior and BAM soulbound , it kinda feels illogical , reward track being account wide but rewards being soulbound.

Why is this stuff even bound at all?

I thought, the reward tracks would give pvp players a way to earn some gold.
But what do we get? A bunch of Ascenden crafting mats which are souldbound, aswell as Souldbound items.

The box itself is soulbound. It’s shame you now have a bound weapon you can’t use but next time you can hand the box off to its intended owner.
