Players who are constantly posting here, means that they are able to play the game normally. Which means they are not effected by the constant client crashes.

It would be great if any of the regular posters can help players like me who are bugged with constant client crashes, with possible solutions and advices so that we can get into the game as well, as ANet Devs are unresponsive at the moment.

I have been getting client crashes for a couple of months now, at least once every 4 hours I am playing GW2.

Of course, I can play every other game ever without any problems, but that’s GW2 for you.

I haven’t crashed a single time in GW2 since I started playing before the summer.
I’ve been getting occasional disconnects since HoT release but that’s surely something else.
Are all your drivers updated OP? How much RAM do you have and how’s the rest of your rig?
About a year ago I was getting crashes in another game where nobody else seemed to have any.
It took me several months to realize that one of my RAM sticks was dead.
I recommend testing your RAM… http://www.memtest.org/

i get constant crashes, every 1-3 hours after xpac came out… i read somewhere it has something to do with gw2 memory leak and nvidia cards

i don’t think issue is just with OP computer, i would play with friends and they would crash together with me at the same time…. also using nvidia cards

p.s. drivers are up to date btw

I noticed that some new particle effects cause a major FPS dip on my PC. Perhaps that is what’s causing the crashes on some machines, while just lowering FPS on others.

I’m using an nvidia card as well so it can’t only be that.

Do you guys crash during intense team fights or is it random?

usually when some event ends or open some window or during the fight
events are especially affected, i would be doing some event (old world or HoT zones), even ends -> BAM mass crash (i am not only one)

seems like UI related to me
