I’m getting tired of trying to play guild wars when the games i come to is the most randoms ive experienced in every game ive ever tried and it makes me sad that we dont know when season 6 is gonna come or what competetive format there is gonna be if there will be anything.
it also makes me sad seing so many great players leave the game cause arenanet cant talk with their pvp community for kitten. the game is dying now since season ended. pvp is totally dead. i will not play the game soon if they dont start doing something about their dying game and so will more players. i wanna have dates for when balance patch is coming out, i want to know when next season starts and i want to know wich format and when we can expect next competetive format to come out.
Just the thing that arenanet didnt even bother to help helseth and sindrener to promote the tournament of groucharoo also gives me low hope about this company actually cares about their game or if they allready have givin up on it.

Chill, you realize that a new LS episode came out? And a new raid? I can only speak for myself: As much as I enjoy PvP, I also like the other game modes. After playing conquest for two months straight, a little PvE and some WvW are a nice change.
I am pretty sure a lot of players of all Divisions feel the similar, at least I see a lot of platinum and even legendary badges in this new content. They will be back.
i dont care about players doing pve and stuff. the point is they are gonna lose all competetive players by not giving any info. i dont really care about players being platinum either cause i know thats very random, i’m talking like the actuall top tier in the game are going to leave very soon. people that have invested thousands of hours in pvp in this game got nothing to do in it any longer.
also players being in pve and wvw is beacouse there aint anything for them in pvp atm. this will not excuse arenanet for not telling the community anything anyway and if i know the infrastructure right i think they have different pvp teams and pve teams on arenanet. also LS episode took like 4 hours to do. rly great content for pvp players.

You don’t get it .. you don’t need the “hey look here” posts to get Anet’s attention to open their eyes and do something. They already respond to players by doing their job making changes to the game. They don’t get paid to sit here and wax PVP with us on the forums and I don’t see how openly chatting on the forum has anything to do with the game dying either. If there is something they want to tell us, they do so, evident by all the threads with the red tag on the left, which are not in short supply mind you.
To be frank with you … this is the kind of threads that make them stop coming here. There isn’t any substance to it and it’s sensational. So my recommendation; if you want Anet to talk to us, try talking to them in a reasonable and civilized manner to begin with.

They will never have the constant balancing other competitive games do like LoL because that isn’t what GW2 is about. The combat is fun, but GW2 caters to the casual gaming community with options of different game modes as opposed to one and I’m fine with that.
GW2 is alot easier to pick up and play and I think that’s what keeps people playing. I would like for them to continue to push PVP in the right direction though, but for what its worth, the meta has improved a lot since HoT.
Calm down OP as long as PvE has a healthy player base. GW2 will be in no threat of dying. GW2 is first and far most a PvE MMORPG. All of there efforts are pretty much for not. Players doing want ever they can to game the system and cheat. ARe we surprised ANet is not communicating with us?
Anyways no matter how dead WvW or PvP becomes in GW2. As long as PvE is doing well. GW2 will be in no threat of dying. So many happy causal PvEers to attend to, and make money off of.

Just take a break until next season, there are great games coming out/released recently. Personally I’m also a bit salty about the infrequent balance patches and their communication concerning tournaments. But then I look at the “big” mobas everyone seems to enjoy and compare to gw2 and I can’t bring myself like them. Everything is so slow and/or the replay value is non existent since there is not much else to do except opening rng boxes. Just my opinion, everyone has different tastes.
Most of the players at the top tier of pvp has either quit the game or temporally left it until future tournaments are announced(if ever).
With no competetive outlet they’ll be nothing for people to work towards and the pvp scene will die
I play more WvW after the season and when i do a daily PvP match i realize Q restart regulary. But as mentioned from others i also see lots of my friends in the new story areas.
The question I have is why are they still not communicating?
It frustrates players and let the feeling that there is no leadership and vision.
All we get are information on match making algorithms, khylo changes and afkers.
Is this all what they can communicate on? Top team leaving…no reaction.
i dont care about players doing pve and stuff. the point is they are gonna lose all competetive players by not giving any info.
Note: Screaming “Your game is dying” when they can pull up metrics and disprove you gives devs good reason to not even click the link. This IS a problem, yes; but it isn’t game-killing. It’s the decay of a facet of a game-mode you personally enjoy.
As for why they aren’t communicating, look at the pvp community. If I personally had to speak to this facet of my game on balance changes and incoming fixes I’d take my sweet time to tailor literally everything to ensure I didn’t fall on my face and/or spark more outrage than is the norm. PvP players are generally much easier to upset, from what I’ve seen.
All that being said there was just a poll on “Do you still want class stacking?” So they’re watching. They probably just dont have comments yet.

Your inability to chill could easily be part of the problem if what you yourself are saying is true.
Yes they’re silent, yes this could be a problem. However, whining about this fact when it is almost guaranteed that anything they say in the way of plans is going to be met with whining as well, the easier course is not say anything.
It’s pretty difficult to make balance changes in general to this game state. Let them work it out. If you try to rush them and they end up listening to you they’ll blunder and we’ll have to live with it for half a year.

Pretty much lol. I mean how can anyone say GW2 is dying. PvE is flourishing very strong atm. More PvEers are flooding in as refugees from the hardcore MMORPGs on the market. To come and get them a free stake of land in GW2.
As someone said above, maybe your part of the game is in decline. However the rest of GW2, well, other then WvW is doing just great.
Take it from someone who was in the past, just as salty as you are atm. Take a chill pill and enjoy GW2 for what it is. Not for what you want it to be. If you can’t enjoy GW2 for what it is. No big deal it’s not the end of the world… well yet that is. Go find something else where you can enjoy for what it is.
ATM I’m playing 3 other games as well as GW2. Depending what I feel like doing. One of those games is Space Flight RPG. Another one is another MMO who’s RvR I personally enjoy better then GW2’s. Another one is a dedicated PvP MOBA which I play when I’m in the mood for no gimmick, high quality PvP. And then we have GW2 which I now enjoy as the MMO ANet made it to be, instead of being angry at GW2 for not being the game I want it to be. Honestly man you should try playing multiple games depending on want you want to do, at that time. It’ll make you a much healthier, less salty gamer.
