Lets talk about this new currency….So if you add up all the chests, you can only acquire 1200 shards…..

One entire armor set of Ardent Glorious cost 1300.

Did someone made an addition error?
Or did you intend us to buy 5 pieces of armor and not have the 6th?

Also it is a very bad decision to not have them drop from the repeatable Byzantium chest. Same goes for the black llamas.

Would really appreciate if the last Byzantium chest can be updated to give an extra 100 so we can complete at least 1 of the 3 armor chests this season. For people who completed it can get an extra 100 via a mail?

or You can make the Repeatable one give 100.

You forgot to take weapons into account – and i’d say it is intentionall for luring in those PvE for the next season

Most people who want ascended gear and PvE regularly at any reasonable level already have multiple sets of ascended gear.

Why are you complaining?
You are getting 5 pieces of asc armor for FREE !
You just need to play a few games, not spending any gold (surprise you can even get gold!), not spending any crafting materials, no achievements to do for it.
So be happy with it.

They can easily simply add 100 to the end chest and then in game email people the rest who completed it (to prevent pve players returning for another time lol)

The current rewards are crazy high. I mean you get lots of gold and ascended gear. Ive barely played (less than 40 matches) and I have enough shards for 3 or 4 armor pieces already . I hope Anet doesn’t “reduce” the amount of shards/gold we get per chest because frankly it seems way too easy.

By this logic you are also 10,000+ shards less for all the weapons, so lets add that too to rewards.

Of course theres gonna be another season with more shards in the future so you will be able to get everything. Thats how sPvP development works, this isnt kittening WvW development.

Its not free, you have to play x number of games depending on wins/losses, you have to spend so much time n some effort to achieve enough tokens.
By your definition, even a legendary would be free then because I could just farm for month and get that also? Time is money.
Now back to the topic, its not a matter of free or not, its a matter of getting a complete set. There are a ton of inconsistencies that have plaugued the game since launch due to simple oversight. I am simply pointing out that this is one of them.
No one is asking them to give 10k tokens but just enough tokens for atleast one full armor set would be nice.
This way players can come back and acquire the other 2 armor sets next two seasons.

Ascended Shards of Glory are not repeatable see attached

If they made it on purpose it was really stupid decision that makes no sense.

If they made it by accident I hope they will fix it.

I wonder if we will hear something from devs regarding this situation.

I personally plan to farm what I can and I am finished with ranked, as I see no point to participate in it. If more people will do the same in a week or so there will be almost no one playing ranked and then you will see the true face of that flawed mmr system.

This idea with ASC equipment for pips is such bad in moral plan bcs now all PVE players who cant get ASC goes in sPVP and just farm it even if they lose =\ and its make ppl who loves sPVP leave their favorite game mode. If ASC could be bought in WvW then it would be better bcs then u need good gear to get more powerful gear and in sPVP u just go and stay afk for all match and get ur 3 pips or more if ur team carry you, if pips were lost if you lose then even PVE players start to learn how PVP.

Guys, this is free ascended equipment. You don’t even have to win your games to get shards. Its ok if you can’t get an entire set for free. I highly doubt this was accidental on ANet’s part, I think they fully intended to not let you get an entire set

i guess they could reward a low amount of Ascended Shards of Glory on repeated completion of the Byzantium Chest

Maybe something like 25-50 Shards

So really active PvP-Players can actually get something for playing and not just get the same like PvE players who just finish All unique Chests 1x and then leave for an easy full ascended HoT-Stat set

For the future i think it would be better to reduce the amount of Ascended Shards of Glory you get from each chest by like 50% but instead make it still give Shards on repeated completion of Byzantium Chest
So it would look like this:
Cerulean – 75
Jasper – 75
Saffron – 100
Persimmon – 100
Amaranth – 125
Byzantium – 125 (repeatable)

That way there are definitly still good reward incentives to play
But it rewards real active PvP-Players more which i think is only fair in sPvP

so buy the medium gear?
its all openly available,
the currency/armor weight selection/ascended gear is account bound.

play an ele in spvp,
buy medium armor while on your warrior and place in bank,
equip it on your druid.
