Available PVP skins cut 70%
from 5 normal paths you are counting 19 per path shouldn’t that be 37 per path for 18 different armor skins and 19 weapon skins?
18 armor because light/medium/heavy are each different skins.
You mean the Greens from normal paths?
That’d be a straight up 37 with no multipliers.. as they’re all the same I think?
Lets even multiply it by 3 .. Still .. afaik over 500 skins are basically gone?

Yes access to armor skins have been effectively nuetered for the pvp only player. And its not just the number available its the time increase to get them as well. Doing only pvp under the old system I had a ton of armor sets by the time I reach rank 40. Anybody starting today good look getting that many by rank 40 doing only pvp. I hate to be cynical all the time but this whole reward system what a load of tripe. Drastically reduce access to armor skins and give pvp players a little gold as compensation.

Yup.
Welcome to the new GW2 sPvP sPvE.
They repalced a half-baked system with another even less well thought system.
But hey!
Now we finally (!!!) can get crafting mats!
But hey!
Now we finally (!!!) can get crafting mats!
gotta love those ascended mats clogging your bank, here have some more!
i’m glad i wasn’t the only one feeling extremely let down by the patch:
after the 6 month wait we got:
the removal of dye crafting, neutering our income.
the removal of armour crafting, removing our customization.
the removal of 8v8 hotjoin, not everyones favourite, but it was mine.
the removal of one of our few maps.
very few meta builds looked at, several meta builds buffed further (condi war)
a cap on progression for hotjoins FORCING casuals and newbies into tournaments.
over all the few things that Anet did right (the pvp UI, afew new traits, wardrobe, account bound dyes etc) are greatly overshadowed by the large number of obviously bad moves that they made for whatever reason.
Most of the skins coming out of old ranked chests are skins that you can find in PvE as common white/blue/green/yellow drops. They are still available in PvP through the loot boxes from the reward chests. Just make sure you unlock the skins first before selling to merchant if you’re not salvaging them.
Guys you earn coin, and can buy skins from TP/vendors with that coin. Sell the items you get from reward tracks to supplement your income. Chuck the exotic-rarity stuff you get from reward tracks into the mystic forge (why on earth was that removed from HotM? ) and sell what comes out.
You wouldn’t be using your gold anyway... would you? Would you??!

That’s not really true..
Half the sets were Karma armor/weapons.
The other half were Cultural sets, Cultural weapons,
Precursors and other uniques as well.
How much karma do we get in Pvp ? :/ 6k per month? 600 per day?
As a caveat; I don’t play Pvp for the rewards, but I feel like something has been taken from me unjustly :/ and now my end game dress-up hellokitty online fantasies are over.

There are still about 8 Anet hosted 8 v 8 servers, just create a custom filter for team size 8. Usually one or two of them have people in them but you might have to try a few times to get in as they are often full.
I also agree that they need to remove the cap on track progression, I haven’t played solo queue since the feature pack because it was filled with people who had no clue what to do or people afking. I am thinking lots of those people were just trying to get the Balthazar back piece so maybe it is better now.

You could get all 3 order armor sets with only 1 character, a lot of crafting sets without needing to craft them and dungeon sets without doing the dungeons.
And let’s not forget certain armor sets that are really rare in PvE or the Tribal set.
a couple hundred of those armor skins are just silly blues and greens with nondescript looks. if you want them so much, go buy them off the trading post for the 1-5 silver that they cost. iirc, you can unlock the blues without binding them to you, so you can sell them right back for the same price.
Priorities, what to do?

I repeat; Cultural Armor , Karma Armor sets. Karma Weapon Sets, Crafting armor/Weapons, Precursors, other Unique weapons and armor.
Do we just want all the stuff without doing all of the work? Maybe, but we were able to get these things, and now anyone coming in fresh from pve is gonna be like, well great.. you can get skins you could already get in pve but 300 times slower.

GW2 has an economist hired to help spearhead any changes to the game. The sole purpose of this person is to work out how to make you spend money on gems. Viola the reasoning behind most of your changes. Everything now involves grinding for gold. The easiest way to grind is to buy gems.
Anet lied (where’s the Manifesto now?)

Don’t talk about 70% of all skins when you’re only talking about a small number of sets, then. It’s such bad feedback to talk about this great far-reaching problem with the core of the game when all you want is for your norn to be in a thong. As I recall, the difference between cultural T3 in PvE and PvP was only 40 gold anyway, or I guess a ton of rank grinding.
Give the PvE a try. It’s still GW2, it’s fine to play.

I have a feeling they are not only trying to get PvE Players into playing WvW and PvP but also vica versa. Get out of PvP ppl and go explore the WHOLE of the game.
Ps that was not me that was Anet. :P
Wherever the Tribal Armor set goes, I’ll go. Simple as that. Just waiting to see it come back.

Available in wvw as a skin. Just the badge armor vendor, and then go down the tabs. I think its a “blue” set. I got it wvw I think the total set might be acouple hundred badges, if that.

They are indeed different armors, please do your research before posting and not go by what you believe. And as of the moment it has zero ways to unlock it for people that didn’t get it before the patch, also stated on the wiki page for it.

…and you could get all of those, usable for your whole account, no need to levelup a char in order to use shoulder items and you didn’t have to pay for using unlocked skins.
Geez if you really find it hard to acquire new armours and weapons skins after the patch, just look up Dulfy guide to getting them.
Ok sure only like less than 10 are now available right now (Tribal and commando etc) but one can hoped they will put them back in somehow.
