I just think is a bit of a shame that he isn’t there as a Shoutcaster as he should. WTF is wrong with ANet?
Because if they paid for his tickets and hotel, they should also do it for Spanish, French, German and Chinese ones as well. Which suddenly means a rather large amount of money, for something that most likely won’t generate much money for them.

I gotta agree with Zeus, I’ve never known this PeeWee before September 2013, the only best well known engy was OstrichEggs. And ever since I came back I been seeing this guy all the time.
Ostrich was rank 60 before I left and ya know what, with the revamped system he’d be considered a rank 80, and nobody made rank 80 before the new system came alive so, if this PeeWee was high enough rank to make it to 80 with the new system, he isn’t first, hes tied with Ostrich and any other engy that was able to get instant rank 80. Chaith was pretty popular too, but PeeWee nope never heard of him, he musta been hotjoin farming or something.
I confess, I didn’t even know about the Indiegogo campaign until just now. I think it’s great that the community came through for Blu, he definitely deserves it with everything he’s done to keep this game’s pvp alive!
But I have to say, I’m pretty disappointed ANet couldn’t help him go as official shoutcaster. And I’m pretty disappointed that, when I googled “send blu to gamescon”, all the forum threads I clicked on talking about the fundraiser had been deleted! What’s that about ANet? It’s fine that you don’t want to stump up the money, but what have you got against other people doing it? So far it looks like only the reddit thread links to the fundraiser is still up!

I don’t really care about keeping the PvP community alive. If the game deserved to be kept alive, someone would just take Blu’s place.

But it would probably be better to let it sink entirely to either give the developers some impetus to get their act together or allow the developers to give up on a failed mode altogether. Either are better options than what we have today.
Lets see shall we, there’s barely any urgency to do anything in PvP as it is, if PvP died off like you want it to from the playerbase, there would be NO impetus to get anything together when that part of the playerbase will already be gone.

I’m aware of what Blu does. It just doesn’t matter to me. I’d rather see PvP tank to, again, either spark serious action from the developers or get them to abandon PvP altogether and focus on better aspects of the game.

Do you not understand that to some people “better aspects of the game” is PvP? If this game only had PvE and Wv3 content, I’d have quit by now because I find PvE boring, Wv3 zerging is boring and I refuse to be a part of it and roaming isn’t what it used to be in my opinion.
