Has pvp now just evolved into a 5 man blob fest?
I would say atleast 1/3 games are 5 guys sticking together and going around in a noob bloob – how did we let pvp become to such disgusting cheap tactics?

The only map that seems to stop is is sprit watch as they cannot possibly move between points as a blob without ignoring the orb..

Blobbing is one of the worst tactics and can easily be outplayed. Send your mobile players to uncap nodes and when they split to cap things, kill them one by onE. im guessing this is low tier games.

yeah zerging actually is a very bad tactic… like above me have said. in unranked and possibly amber- sapphire they might be still doing this? ruby perhaps. anyways bad idea

They don’t split, they go from point to point in a mass ball.

I think if the points were lowered for kills it would stop it….it’s meant to be a first to 500 point system, thus about holding objectives. They just ignore them in a zerg and maintain on average about one, it takes forever for them to win but it means they probably only have 3 live players against them at one given time.

Just to be clear are you talking about hotjoins? Because those have always been a blob fest.

Solo blobbers are the worst. Friends don’t let friends 5v1 alone.

Firstly, welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your break. Did you buy the expansion? Most of the elite specs are a direct upgrade so you’re generally best off with them, check metabattle.com for the “meta”, it’s a good place to start.

As for blob fests, I wouldn’t call 5 people a blob but yes it’s annoying when they train around as one group. Best thing is to avoid fights and decap any points they have while making sure you keep a full cap somewhere else. Even better if you can get them to waste time chasing 1 person while you get 2 full caps and maybe bonus points from a secondary objective.

It’s a 5 man noob fest because at minimum half the decent or better players have quit pvp because anet has severely neglected its balance and turning it into a spam fest full of never ending boons, condis, and ridiculous effects that are extremely overpowered or completely out of place and don’t function as intended…
