Howdy,

Tonight I logged in thinking I was two pips away from tier… let’s do it! Unfortunately anet had different plans. My MMR must be amazing, as my little sapphire self keeps getting pitted against ruby and diamond groups. Much more likely, is that anet’s matchamaking system is broken, as has been pointed out numerous times and I doubt is ever going to be adjusted.

Anyway, having my bum handed to be 20 times in a row tonight gave me some idea for ways anet could attempt to add some semblance of balance to the game:

Guardian:
1) Traps should take a second or two to set like the other classes, and they should be able to drop them all in one throw. You throw one, short cool down, throw the next. or make them visible like the necros marks…
2) Temper the damage on the traps and shortbow. The shortbow already has knockback, it shouldn’t knock most classes down to half health in one hit at the same time (and that’s with full toughness and vitality armor and runes). Likewise… traps shouldn’t be an instant no thought k.o..
3) Shorten the range of the pullchain. It should be the same distance as scorpion wire.

Elementalist:
1) Increase the cooldowns between skills, or seriously downgrade the armor. When 3 people dps’ing an ele can’t bring it to 90% health, there’s an issue.

Engineer
1) same thing as ele.
2) stealth copter, halve the time.

Mesmer:
1) Temper the damage on shatter.
2) shorten the base stun times

Revenant:
1) Just needs to be brought more in line with the other classes in general. It’s a thief with heavy armor.
2) shorten the hit absorb skill

Warrior:
1) more stun break,
2) increase the armor
3) there’s one sword skill that needs nerfed, 1 hit ko style

Thief:
1) make toughness and vitality actually count for something. currently, other classes do 1 hit of 20-30k… find me a thief with that much hp.
2) Swiftness buff
3) fix the animations, too much lag
4) shadow refuge, shorten the time it takes for the aoe circle to disappear

Ranger:
1) Druid toughness needs scaled way back. 1 druid can take 3-4 people currently.
2) pew pew shouldn’t track stealth characters

Necro:
1) scale down the toughness slightly.

Basically, make thief and warrior playable again.

Although I agree the current bunker meta is broken, I don’t see many valid changes here.

Those changes would be a bit too much..
Revenant needs rework on its survivability or its damage (cant be Ultimate DPS and tanky at the same time)

Same for Scrapper if you ask me; they got too much survivability for a Marauder spec tbh. Although their damage is completely fine, their survivability doesnt add up the amulet they’re using.

Even though I despise elementalists right now, I feel like daredevil with Staff actually counters them as I can easily 1v1 on a point. So I dont rly think they need hard nerf.

Bunker mesmer should be looked at, that’s just a fact. Maybe increase cd on the blocks and cc’s would be a huge help.

Warrior doesn’t need more armor. It needs more adrenaline gain as Anet went overboard with the Adrenaline Decay. It also needs some traits being moved back as it was before so we could make viable builds again like they’re used to. And not choose between all the traits they used to have.

As an (ex) main thief, I dont think giving it swiftness will resolve anything. I think they should increase the heal and even have it give Vigor baseline. Give more toughness/vitality and also some reduction on Initiative cost here and there.
