Balance around class stacking?
“A person’s “locus” (Latin for “place” or “location”) is conceptualized as either internal (the person believes they can control their life) or external (meaning they believe their decisions and life are controlled by environmental factors which they cannot influence, or by chance or fate)."
For example, a person with more of an “external locus” might play GW2 and focus on how class imbalances and bad match-making are making their experience worse. A person with more of an “internal locus” might play GW2 and focus on what they can do to best succeed with what’s currently available. So far studies suggest people who reply in questionnaires with answers suggesting they have an “internal locus” tend to be much happier and healthier people.
In my opinion, focusing more on things outside of our control or things within our control makes for some interesting choices. If I focus on what’s wrong with the game, I’m pointing out what can be fixed/improved to help make my playing experience better. However, if I also feel I’m losing because of things outside of my control, such as from “broken” classes, this is biologically more stressful than stresses I feel I’m responsible for causing.
In other words, it’s important to try to point out problems but it can be really bad for our health and well-being to do it too much. I don’t know what you should do, Talons, but I hope this helps you and others make decisions about how to react to something like “imbalance”.

He should do what any logical player would do in the instance they are not having fun playing a game but instead having their blood pressure rise and mental status decrease. Simply find something else that fun, end of point.
But at least I admit it!
PoF guys get ready for PvE joys
A PVP environment that allows only one of a class per team is a completely different game than PVP actually in GW2. It would also have different balance properties. I would rejoice so much if matchmaking were set up to allow only 1 of a class per team. SO MUCH. PLEASE DO IT ANET!!!
Just thought I’d point out the obvious fact that losing due to lack of balance is an issue that is being over looked. Nobody likes to play VS a double ele when they have no sustain or a triple war when they have no counter class . But I agree Reaper 12 more wins then gg Anet. Cya next update maybe.
I’m completely okay with unbalanced teams. If you don’t want luck of the draw, bring a premade.
What I am NOT okay with is the ability to switch characters after you’re already in the map. Too many times I’ll enter a map, the enemy team will see we don’t have any condi cleanse, then they’ll ALL log onto their reapers and mace warriors. Or if we have tons of condi cleanse they’ll ALL log onto their bunker ele’s and power zerkers. This allows stat stacking against a known opponent and heavily encourages people to have at least 2 ready-to-go characters parked in the PvP lobby, which is so far beyond gaming the system I would consider it outright exploitation of game mechanics.
I will say though, most fun I’ve ever had was me (power herald) and 4 mace warr’s vs. 5 mace warr’s. Nobody could kill anybody and it was a blast. 5v5 thieves would also be entertaining (and also frustrating).

would work if they also made it impossible to reroll to a different toon AFTER you got into a queue. if you queue up you can ONLY rejoin on that toon, end of story. rerolling kicks you OUT of the match and you get dishonor. GW1 did it in pvp and in RA, why they wont do it now is amazing
how about premade teams cant class stack or reroll to same classes as the team already has? I doubt Anet will put any effort into the MM doing it cause the population as it is now is already dying off and it would increase queue times.
