Got 1 hour to play pvp. First match 1 man afk for 1 minute from start, when i asked to report him for abuse afk he sayd something like “shut up —-—r” and started to do something i dont know what then, he refused to res etc, match ended with two others afk…
In next match i had two people who just jumping around and doing nothing. (yes, ruby) They intentioanally failed this match. Can you ban them for harassment? Like if they intentionally fail open world events, or kill key mobs to not let you play normally?

~40 minutes of my life wasted, got much negative from gw2.

These offensive actions should be bannable, because if you don’t do anything it force people to hate gw2.

I had the same player throw matches twice in one day. Very annoying.

I thought if I blocked them, I’d never get teamed with them again. That’s not true apparently. I suggest it should be.

A vaguely remember Anet telling us to report them for botting. Which i’ve been doing, but nothing has ever come of it.

It happens often ppl try to do daily achievements for ranked games, i had 2 games in a row with a thief that just go afk from the start and he even told us he will do that for the daily “play 3 ranked matches a day” … needless to say how i feel about it, maybe if they move some of the achievements to other game mode it will be better.
Btw ppl selling games for gold is also a thing…

I’m about 3 feet off the floor with rage right now. There’s a very high probability this season is going to give me fraggin heart attack. Here, I’ve been raging for a couple weeks over being stuck in Ruby Hell. 5 days ago I had a 12 game tilt, 12 games! So I took 5 days off and returned last night. I lost my first and then win 6 straight. Feeling good and back up to the Top of T4. So I log out.

I logged in just an hour ago feeling good about getting Diamond tonight. I hit Solo Q for SH and the first game begins. I ask the Ele to escort and I get no reply. I ask for a couple of things and get no reply. The Ele does nothing but run to mid and say “I can’t help right now I have no utilities or weapons.” That’s the crud I’m getting matched with. Of course we lose and there goes a Pip and 30 minutes.

I solo Q again and the match begins. This time I ask if anyone wants to switch for a better comp. Then I ask for escort’s and I get nothing. Then I bark a “HI HELLO! Trying to win here!” and I get a reply of “I’m used to losing don’t care anymore”. I ask why they are even playing and get told, “Reward Tracks”. Of course we lose but, this person at least played a bit. There’s goes another Pip and 30 minutes lost.

So here’s the utter Bunk that we’re stuck with. One person completely trolling and another just Q’ing to lose. Meanwhile, we all deserve to be in the Division we’re in, right? If I could punch a person thru the internet, I would have clobbered both of them. Cost me an hour of my life and now needing another hour just to get those two Pips back “IF” I get two good matches.

I have seen very few people deliberately lose games this season but yes, it can be very annoying when it does happen. Best thing to do is to report them for botting and Anet will make a decision on how to deal with that player because players can (I think) be banned for throwing games on purpose. It doesn’t bother me much at all though because I just think to myself that we would have lost anyway even if the player who was afk was playing and this is usually true if they had zero interest in pvp and we’re just there for achievements, so much so that they would sit afk through whole matches.

That’s all fine and dandy but, the dev’s put in these F’n Division Threshold requirements. If those weren’t there then I wouldn’t care about winning matches as much.

I feel you. I’d definitely like to have a possibility to report someone for afking/throwing the match intentionally and have it actually make some difference (either ban them from the game or allow me to block and not play with them ever again).

I’ve had so many matches where someone gives up after the initial fight doesn’t go in our favor. Like, there’s a 50 points difference and someone says they’ll afk. I once asked them to disconnect at least so the rest of us who are still trying don’t lose a pip. Got laughed at and insulted (and I ended up disconnecting instead). Saved that jerk a pip, but at least saved it for other 3 players too.

Once my team was in the lead and one person said they’ll afk because “we aren’t defending.” How were we not defending? We were leading for about 70 points. We held close and mid. We got temporarily killed, but without much change in the overall score and we easily took mid back in half a minute. Now, I’m a pretty chill person and these things don’t affect me a lot so I never yell in chat and I’m never hostile. But at that moment I lost all of my chill. We could’ve lost a match that was easily winnable because of one person’s insane whim. After I carefully reminded this person that we are leading and that they better not afk (and one other player joined me), that person didn’t afk after all.

But I don’t want this type of a gamble. Every time I enter a match, I ask myself “Alright who’s gonna afk this time?” I just want an option to report and block people who do this.
