Battle of Khylo Rotating Imbalance Issue
All maps have some type of asymmetrical construction that favours some actions from one side and not from the other. Anyway, it gives the same advantage for both teams, as you will usually be on close/far equal times.
on blue team its kinda similar as you can jump on the roof tops.
by the way, that path is not indestructible as you claimed.
a single treb shot will destroy everything, sealing off that short cut for the rest of the match.
yes, at blue team, it is possible to slip, deswai you need to be careful.
treb will kill that barrel? Are you sure? because melee’ing it or aoe’ing it like you can the other barrels doesn’t work,
Barrel cant die but the buildings can
So I’ve discovered an issue with a non-destructible barrel on Battle of Khylo that gives the red team an advantage for rotating between mid and home.
Without needing speed boosts, teleports or leaps, any character can easily take a shortcut from windmill to mid without going around the ramps or using the inside stairways. The only non-destructable barrel I can find in the whole map is the one that creates this advantage. Shown in the picture on the right side, it makes getting up onto the rooftops quick and easy without the need for much jumping prowess.
Alternatively, the path up from the mansion is impossible without using special skills or speed boosts. I did attach a second image showing the path up with speed boosts.
It’s decent that both sides can get up to mid with speed boosts, but having a quick and cheesy option that any character can do with ease gives red team a significant advantage.
The barrel I’ve noted needs to be removed, or relocated and made destructable. I played as red team a few times and was loving the shortcut, until I played on blue team and realized there wasn’t a complimentary shortcut from the mansion. :/ Please fix the barrel.
Reduce slipping by jumping from the green grassy part. I only miss the jump when I randomly draw conditions from my team with plague signet while I am trying to come to the fight.
Meanwhile you can still spawnkill enemy team on skyhammer bc you can enter their base with some esport jumps. Cool stuff ;D
Not that anyone care about skyhammer but it should give you idea about the maps desing in general..
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.
Well yeah but skyhammer isn’t in the ranked rotation, Khylo is. It just seems weird for such a convenient barrel to be indesctructable. :S

What this person said. If you take some time and think about it a bit, you should realise that on most maps the side-points, the spawn—>closest side-point paths, and the side-point—>mid paths are NOT perfect mirrors of each other. Some of the discrepancies tend to be more important than others depending on the situation.
On Kyhlo, there is an even greater discrepancy between side-points than what the OP posted and it is arguably more unbalanced towards rotational play. Even if you “will usually be on close/far equal times” does not change the fact that one point has it more easy to deal with incoming rotations as opposed to another.
I could list all of the differences, but I believe it is more important that people take the time to think about it and discover by themselves. Your positioning game and map terrain knowledge should be at a level where you can figure them out, otherwise you are playing PvP just casually.
As a side note, it is quite ironic that the most “broken” (take it as meaning: an overall flawed design) conquest maps, Spirit Watch and Skyhammer, are the closest to achieving a perfect mirror of the terrain on side-points and paths from them to the rest of the map. That is if you exclude the exploits you can do on Skyhammer.

It is also funny that the blue side tends to be favoured in all cases, including Raid on the Capricorn and Champion`s Dusk.
not sure what are you talking about, those crates on the screenshot are completely destructible like all other similar-looking crates on this map
besides the opposite side also has crates which are not in the same spot but are close enough to hop up the clocktower in the same fashion as with the crates you’ve shown
