Fix your broken game and give us a proper balance patch. If leagues are a problem and you dont want to balance mid season DONT LAUNCH IT, put these joke leagues on “hold indefinitely” like legendary weapons till you dont get your kitten together.
Also split balancing between modes already, how long playerbase has to suffer due to your “amazing” idea of keeping skills the same across the modes to “not confuse new players”.

Things they did wrong with the balance patch.
1. They didn’t touch healbot ele
2. They may have powercreeped thief
3. They nerfed reaper without nerfing revenent, possibly making revenent the best class in pvp
4. engi was overnerfed
5. moa was not touched
Things they did right.
1. reintroduced s/d for thiefs. Boon hate could be a good counter to tempests (which might be why it wasn’t touched)
2. Reduced chill uptime from reapers (probably overnerfed it by changing the damage to bleed)
3. Nerfed S&R
4. Made warriors somewhat relevent again
For the healbot ele: Ele itself is balaced and forced to healbot what many eles donĀ“t want. They want options.
This is a basic discussion. Should a strong healer/supporter exist in Gw2. If yes ele is fine as maybe druid is.
Rev is powerful mostly because of ele. Nerf ele, you essentially bring rev back in line. As a ele player, I really do hope they nerf the healing and increase its damage potential.
If they nerf ele healing then the ele damage builds won’t be viable either. That’s the reason ele is so hard to balance right
they made perfect changes for scepter ele dmg builds imo.
also just try merc, or sages with dagger/x and bam you got your hybrid builds… not to mention the usability of condi scepter being buffed more than it ever has before.
There is options… TRY THEM
The problem is ENDLESS PROTECTION from prot on aura, which was the SAME REASON they could stack over 10s of prot as a DD with elemental attunement since launch.
Shoulda been nerfed 2 years ago..
Now we are at the point that prot uptime really needs to be put in check… 15+ seconds protection for the whole team is pretty ridiculous… Or they can nerf the scaling on shouts 10-15%. and/or increase the icds on traited free auras +5
If you touch any base healing numbers instead of scaling that’s when it turns into a bad nerf that will hurt dmg eles more than support ones.

It’s fun, but my Warrior takes about 7 seconds to start regenerating nearly 900hp/s passively, without any boons. Not sure if this is what warriors needed to address the lack of sustain, where one minor trait turns the Berserker into Wolverine.
I would like to see reasonable sustain spread more evenly in nearly all the trait lines rather than in one godly and now mandatory minor trait.

That’s incorrect.
Ele survivability is designed around healing and having the protection boon. They lack the combination of disengages, immunities, blocks, stealth, high evasion uptime, and natural armor/health that other classes use to stay alive. This is why the only viable ele builds have been bruiser, bunker, and support.
Having the protection boon yes, HAVING 90%+ UPTIME of 40% DMG redux no.
Not saying make it like 1 second or something terrible.. but 3 sec base is CLEARLY too much.
Slight difference between using prot when you expect burst (old DD 33%prot) vs brainlessly having permanent 40% dmg reduction the entire team fight.

Yep, they synergize each other so well and Revenant being the one carried the most by the Ele.

I could understand not being able to share it with the team but core ele would really suffer if the duration were reduced as it can’t keep it up like tempest
Of course then you would have to take boon sharing from all the other classes as well…. you see how this is going right?

I been playing MMO’s since i was a little kid, and I have come to the realization that no matter how much effort, time and sweat the developers put into a game the player base will still complain like whiny little girls.
I don’t see how this game is “broken.” Maybe you should get better at the game instead of ranting on the forums? You’re never going to learn to adapt to the meta if you just waste time ranting and not spending time researching how to play your class better. PvP in this game is much more balanced compared to most other MMO’s if you ask me.

Ok mr nobody. I bet you enjoy button smashing everything off cd, but 3yr back when i played i had my burst combo on 60cd and if i failed.. well tough luck. Also “most other mmos” dont promote themself as esport joke. Now pardon me but im going into your hotjoin territory and kill some people with naked warrior to git gut. Afk
nerfing protection on ele will kill all damage oriented builds. The best nerf to ele would be lowering regeneration and buffing arcane and fire lines for damage.
The HoT elite specs still have not been brought in line with the rest of the game. And the trait/condi stacking patch of last summer is still not settled in my opinion.
Between these two updates we have seen tremendous powercreep in Guild Wars 2 that has transformed the pacing and feel of the game for the worse. Another problem from the Summer 2015 patch was that stats have been forced even more into amulets, causing amulets to dictate too much of the pvp game.
We see classes like ele, guard, etc., being entirely excluded from using so many amulets because of their low base stats. The removal of cele in particular was bad for ele, as now the only meta ele build is cleric because it has enough toughness/healing power and condi removal to maintain such low hp. I do not want cele back, I just want the amulet system gone/changed significantly. And then there is the passives/procs issue which is half of the game right now. Oh yeah and bring back freedom to queue anywhere for matches, kitten .
Sorry for the ranting structure.
We need patch that would give us balance and profession update, not balance hotfix.
