pls fix some broken interactions:

1st vamprism rune
every zerker takes this now. no matter how hard you mess up, this one will save you. covers the whole time span of revealed, so it is basically a free god mode for thieves and mesmers if someone gets a burst on them. Really broken on thief with their condi removal and lifereg in stealth

also fix these godkitten vampirism rune stomps

2nd burn application on ring of fire and purging flames
sometimes it bugs out if you are walking at a tangent of these circles so you get instant 6-12 stacks burn from these.

then you can nerf ele

I never like to wish NERFS on classes ppl enjoy playing.

I don’t think I’d ever say this but…. Eles should be left alone and the only thing that needs fixed is the RoF buggy burn stacks. Otherwise, I think they need burning as a means of damage. Without it, they will be incredibly underwhelming.

Or instead of nerfing ele, enhance other classes’ access to burn dmg. But the buggy RoF stacks should still be looked at though

Make boon hate more common and compatible and you won’t have to nerf anything (on ele) you’ll avoid burying the other weapons deeper as well.

They do that though there goes the necro’s one job in PvP! ;_; I do agree though more boon hate would be nice considering the amount of condition hate there is.

That’s a stupid statement. DD eles are the only spec right now that can put high sustain and high damage on an on point fight. DD eles need a nerf and so do burns.

It’s not there yet especially in AoE format axe/focus could but they suck badly. There is also stealing,removing those need to be more common hell I’m surprised tempest got boon removal when guard got theirs removed and ranger has none war should get one when he received less damage the more boon the foes have. That’s what needs to happen not sure who thought it was a good idea to have AoE boon and cleansing on Rampage mode pre-nerf.

From my experience in ranked, it really comes down to having a good team to fully utilize a d/d ele.

I can’t tell you how many times I have been placed with double thief or double mesmer and they just zerg mid and don’t help me on side points.

I played vs 4 man ele team today and my team actually had the lead. We lost because of lord push though.

Ele is strong on points for sure, but focusing them down with 2 competent players can be pretty easy.

I had a 4v5 match today and the ele was carrying them and we lost sure he’s an Abjured sub but that happened on my team once and he(thief) didn’t carry us…I was solo but that’s not possible even for mesmer not sure about chrono.

I disagree because it was a well thought of statement. I’ve criticized eles for a long time. Don’t know much about you but I play and familiarize myself with builds before I raise any issues about them.

Eles were tankier w better heals and higher hp pool pre-patch. Also pre-patch main source of damage were lightning whip and drakes breath. When I’m alert, I use burning speed blast combos.

dd celes are glassier now and if their burn damage gets scaled back too far, the build will underwhelm. I think fixing the RoF bug is fair. Maybe even reduce the stack to 2.

I don’t wish certain builds to get nerf nuked to the ground because they counter my main or because I don’t understand their mechanics. Slight adjustments are healthier; a good example of that is the adjustment to air/fire sigils.

hey Vap, choov – I hope no other class will ever have to go through what engies did.. I play it for sentimental reasons but it fades in comparison to mesmers, necros, guards, eles, even warriors despite nerf.

my problem with it is the might tbh. it being hard to kill is fine, but it puts out too much pressure. however, less survivability could bring cele staff back which would be gorgeous for the meta.

Way waaay too much sustain and pressure coming out of that celestial amulet. Every other cele build is extremely squishy (minus the engineer, it’s op as well). I believe there is nothing wrong with the amulet itself. The numbers in ele are simply off the charts.

As I stated in other thread I stated, I’ve never played DD cele ele, didn’t read the meta set up in metabattle, just put the freaking amulet and had top score on all 8 games i played. And I’m sometimes last on scores as a thief because every now and then I get condi only teams and I can’t play that well. And I main a freaking thief …. (although saying i main a thief is a liittle bit of a stretch…i have all professions at lvl 80 and I rotate every now and then … so far i have the best “luck” with dd cele ele.)

The other issue with the ele is that It can disengage better than the thief. I can guarantee you … 8/10 people will leave you alone if you heal from 5% hp to almost full hp with a dodge and some other gimmicks. If you get out of their range they’ll move on to other targets while you switch to fire and give them rings of love.
