What class/weapons is the best power based bruiser post patch? I’m assuming it is still Scrapper/hammer Engie but I’m seeing a few potent power Heralds too.

From my own personal perspective, probably scrapper.

Might as well say that paladin’s buffed scrapper beyond their initial “nerf” of adaptive armor, so that they are even tankier than pre-nerf adaptive armor which I find quite dumb.

Reaper would have to be included in this list, even if they are mostly ranged.

Power reaper aint bad but for power based I think scapper daredevil superior.

If hybrid builds counted then yes definitely reaper as well

My bad, I missed the “power” qualifier. I’m not sure however that that qualifier is important when defining a bruiser.

I <3 power Reaper it’s just so full of fail compared to the new condi reaper that I excluded it on purpose. I feel like the real flavor of a bruiser class should be power based. Shouldn’t a bruiser be able to bully people off of point and deny the cap? Condi reaper is ranged and will fight off point a lot.

sword/axe(or dagger) & greatsword melee ranger traited with skirmishing beast mastery and wilderness survival, quick draw caries. You can go with paladin amulet or marauder with signet of stone and a toughness rune, something like melandru or herald.

The amount of evades and cc you have is absurd, but you are vulnerable to condi spikes since your only clears are ether survival skill (wilderness knowledge), empathetic bond or shouts with trooper rune.
