The match quality this time around is amazing in comparison to seasons 1-4.
(For the record I’m currently rated 1210.)

Two things would improve it:

Remove class stacking or force parity stacking. Most of the matches I’ve lost have had a disproportionate number of DH on the other side.

Go pure solo queue instead of the compromise solo/duo.

It’s true that progress is slow and farming to a quick Legendary is largely a non-thing. Thank The Six.

No they shouldn’t go pure Solo Queue it’s not the fault of the grouped players that understand that conquest PvP was designed solely around 5v5 premises. They should make it a duo/trio Queue then each side will have exactly the same amount of people grouped together on each team and will somewhat preserve the fact that the game was designed for 5v5 organized groups.

There may be not enough pure 5v5 premades but the duo/trio Queue should be more than enough of the population based on what I have seen with most of the matches I have been in having more grouped players than Solo.

matces are good but as soon as i get lots of DH on the other side it´s often a blowout. For me ^^. The more DH the higher my winrate XD … If DH are on my side oponets die in traps if other side i just destroy them.
Adapt to what you see and win. Don´t whine.
My concern is ths slow rate to climb. I can have winstreaks or not points go down with each match. So bad placment and you get bad players to play with and grind up no matter how good you are. Matches itself are mostly fine. System can never make up for human problems so deal with it.

I have to agree. I have played 50 games so far with a rating that has always been 1900-2000 and the match quality is incredible. It is helping me improve and play well SOOOOO much more than the other seasons did. I am consistantly getting matched with and against extremely good/ pro players and I love it so much. It is true that duo queue really helps at legendary tier where I am. It does give a huge advantage but if, like me, you have friends who are extremely skilled, it makes season 5 so much fun. I have only had maybe 5 total blowouts so far which can’t be avoided and the average losing score I have seen is about 300. Huge success in my opinion, congrats Anet on this season. Can’t wait to see where I end up on the leaderboard (hoping for top 25).
