who are the best warriors?

rank them 1st to 3rd!

1) Vaans
2) Tarcis

We won’t really know until some more structure is set up. Not sure about Vaans, I’ve only seen their youtube vids, which are usually just “good clips” cut and placed together.

I wouldn’t put vaans and tarcis above Rom. Being good at fighting people and good at conquest are two different things, and Rom is the shotcaller on one of the top teams out there.

I think you guys got some complex issues in your hearts and see everything as flamebaiting attention seeking

Tarcis and ROM are leagues above any other that no third can be brought into perspective. ;P

Where exactly “the best”. Spvp duels? Tpvp teamwork? Hotjoin heroes? Wvw duels? Pve? Idling in LA/DR? Forum warfare?

lol Vaans rank 1 – good joke…..when it comes to PvP he’s just average.
mechanically skill – ranking is defintly that:

1 ROM
2 Alköre
3 Lypion

between second and third is not much difference, I guess.

But need to remember that good warrior never use longbow. That is like sign of lack of skill.

Never really thought ROM was that good.

Tarcis is in a league of his own.

ROM is good but not great. He could play any class and the outcomes probably won’t change. He’s just a really good game manager.

Because the game’s pvp is a joke and doesn’t require skill to begin with?

Secondly, there is no one who is really skilled left. Everyone is average or below. The biggest defining status of a “pro” Guild Wars 2 player is if they are on a team, not if they are actually good.

This thread points out clearly one issue:
- People are unable to distinguish Best Class players on Teams and without Teams.

For example, same was with Sizer.

Sure, Sizer was a great Thief in PvP mode.
But he was stomped by loads of people in WvW when he went there.

Conclusion?
In current state of the game, it’s impossible to drag people out and prove that they’re the best in pvp.
And it’s not because of balance, but because how Anet did kitten things up.

What has WvW to do with this? Whilst Sizer isn’t the best 1v1 player, he’s certainly one of the best thieves mechanically and rotation wise. WvW is some gimmick kitten where you can easily oneshot people. The damage is so much higher and things like Buffs, Stacks and Food contribute to even more imbalances. Give him full asc, buffs and food and he’ll probably win just as much as in pvp.

Why do wvw players still don’t get that PvP is the only place where dueling is on even grounds?

Well, I would like to not talk about those who got oneshot in wvw.

And no, PvP mode is nowhere near a skill indicator.
WvW isn’t either, but is much better than PvP mode due to the sole fact that it has more viable builds per class than PvP mode does.

And if it’s about sizer – well, like some thief already said to me – rotation and skill wise, he’s great in PvP, but in WvW he’s decent, because 1st – PvP mode rotation and landscape means nothing in WvW, 2nd – people aren’t bound to Amulet and it’s static stat boost.
What does it mean?
What’s so squishy in PvP, can be tougher and still hit like a truck.

And mentioning buffs and food…please.

I’m not denying Sizer’s skill here, but point is simple.

WvW offer better pvp and skill quality than PvP arena, by simply making viable all builds that are not viable in PvP arena.

Actually you can use the terrain more in PvP than in WvW, which adds to the skillcap.

And your 2nd point is exactly why PvP is more balanced than WvW. For example conditions are super kittened in WvW because of the availability of dire stats and/or +40% condi duration food.

If it’s just based on what we think then I would go with:
1) Tarcis
2) Shin
3) Vaans

Again, without any guidelines and based on what we think as the only real guideline, that’s what I think are the top 3.

I wouldn’t put Vaans into the top 10. He might be good by WvW standards but WvW is just a larger version of hotjoin where the cap points have walls and you can access all kinda of imba pve runes/consumables etc.

1. Tarcis, best in every perspectives.
2. Rom, was the champion of boston WTS.

Other than that, no one can compete with these 2. Even ROM are barely enough to compare with Tarcis.

Agreed he is the best, the only player to play the one high skill cap build in the game so well.

I loved running with charriors back when warriors were a thing. Warrior numbers are down. Before that patch, cele shoutbows were actually being favored to d/d celes.

It’s hard to answer who the best warrior is without stating a game mode.
