Guild Wars 2

I know that sometimes it doesn’t matter what skill or character you have vs zergs. But I was wondering…what do you guys think is the best overall class for roaming and solo queue once in a while (painful wait times vs the same people).

I main mesmer, but am getting tired of getting rolled by certain classes that the current meta is saturated with!

Was thinking thief/guardian. I will not roll a ranger.

Mesmers are actually fine for hotjoins … ? Just pick your fights according to your specc.
Ele’s can also do the trick in hotjoins, but I would not recommend it … I love it though.
If you want to bash necro’s and rangers, then go with the flow: CC-warrior is the new black/fotm/whatever. Loads of anti-CC/condi and still loads of both burst and CC.
Or if you like to not die, unless you screw up: Go stealth-based thief (Cruuk’s build).

As for guardian … just don’t, if you dislike getting your boons getting ripped and being smashed like a tomato. Sure, it is good, fun etc … but it is not frustration-free.

Engie is certainly not frustration-free either, even if it is both fun and rewarding as well.

Necro, just condi bomb everything

Ya Necros can build to put 10 total condis on people pretty easily, half of which do damage.

I use a guardian in hotjoin … and i find it very viable if you use the correct spec

If you go with Dhuumfire and the regular 30/20/0/0/20 then there is no way to avoid it :P
It is silly how much dmg auto-attack does.
I think OP will dislike facing a new class, though

I tried necro and it was pretty easy to faceroll people. I need to think ahead though, conditions will be nerfed soon, so maybe ele or mesmer will again rise to the top
