Block and counter skills punish the defender
Totally agree with that one.
I’d have to agree Scepter/Sword-offhand blocks for mesmer might screw you rather then do any good… abilities which pulse multiple times will wreck you..
Evade frames and an interrupt function for counters would be a nice addition.
I kind of agree, though I feel a lot of these are very anticipation heavy. Combat flow still feels fine vs the slow and decisive hits like a hammer warrior trying to smack you around. But since there are so many chains and linking combos the after effect being so slow feels so bad.
I think it’d be kind of nice if for example I-Riposte dazed the target you hit so your not screwed by animation lock during the follow up.
Or if warrior riposte gave a block until the animation finished beyond the inital.
I dunno personally I have no real issues Rangers Counterattack, I find it flows better than most of these blocks, and in terms of animation locking I haven’t noticed it to be a hinderance.

They should become chain skills.
If it blocks then the skill turns into the counter attack skill for you to use like Larcenous Strike.
