Not much new information sadly.
No mention of the queue system, no mention of a league/LB split for conquest/stronghold. No mention of hardlimits in MMR (e.g. impossible for starter to go up against legendary, etc.).
It all looks good, but crucial information is lacking.
This system will just be a better farm with a bit better progression then now which will still reward time over skill.
Q: Will the MMR reset with every season? If not, how will a high mmr player e.g. Helseth progress in his first few win vs “insert_random_forum_user”?
I kinda loveing the idea, and from what I have read you mostly matched against players in your division, but if you matched against players better than you, you don’t even have to win to progress just make the match a “close call” like 500-400 (no point limits mentioned in the post) and you can prove that you’r ready to advance in your division.
It’s a new system things may change till release and even after, I hope eventually we can fall back in our division within seasons, at least you can’t progress to Legendary with just playing a huge amount of match without skills (like how you get r80 even if you never won a match).
So, if I undersand well:
1_ PvP league system. Basically it will be a grinding system.
2_ Team Leaderboard: mmr leaderboard with fixed (not really sure if fixed or temporary) decay.

They changed it because it was to hard for new players to understand.
