Boring cPvP
yes same situations arise and gets very repetative
A lot of you seem to be unaware that hotjoins are not the only content in HotM. Try playing some tournaments.
i only play tournaments btw and its also as repetative
its same in tournament if i wish to win i need run and take point, i dont need to kill.
8 months of playing merry-go-round, fighting bunkers in a small circle. It’s bound to get repetitive w/o other game modes. If you enjoy conquest that much, kudos to you.
Please enlighten me with a video of your whole team just running around and capping points and winning. Because this is possibly a serious issue for the game then…
Otherwise I’m labeling this as a troll post

Either you’re lying, or you’re playing a completely different game than everyone else.

have u ever won a tournament just going forward and killing all in u way?
Conquest (spvp or tpvp) makes for alot of 1v2s, 2v3s, 3v4s, and 4v5s.
This kills the spirit of competition
TTK is too short for this game to be based on a constantly uneven format
I can see how conquest would be a good format for the most diehard strategists who wanna give and take orders for field control via voip, but it’s not a good mode for the masses (solos, duos, and people who just want a fair, straight-forward fight)

No, because the game mode in sPvP is a conquest. You win by controlling points, not killing everyone in your path. If that’s what you’re looking for, you should try WvW. If that doesn’t appeal to you either, the game’s probably not for you.

Like you said, the game mode is a conquest. If you’re facing a 1v2, the rest of your team is left with a 4v3. The only real overall advantage you get in team fights is after you’ve downed one. Knowing what fights to engage, where to spend your resources, map awareness and proper point control make the game REALLY interesting once you start to get a hang of it. We have had this game mode for over 9 months, and people are still struggling with it (people in general, not you in particular). I understand that some people just want to kill other classes without needing to worry about the strategies etc, for which we have WvW at the moment.

So I got 1v2’d while the enemy gets 4v3’d (hopefully), people on both sides are just getting outnumbered and destroyed… it’s just not that fun or competitive… and WvW is too zergy and gear-based.
Again, I can see how conquest would be a good format for the most diehard strategists who wanna give and take orders for field control via voip, but it’s not a good mode for the masses (solos, duos, and people who just want a fair, straight-forward fight)

it can be interesting if u in voice with u team but again do i rly need to fight anybody to win? take point slow and harass enemy so he couldn’t recheck point and thats all, when i first tried tournaments i was always on last place until i realized that if i kill someone i get 15 for about 1 min or more or u could recheck some point and get a lot more points for yourself and team in some 20 sec.Btw www=zerg.
