I’d like to ask for a revert on the nerfs to the glorious Hambow, the highest skillcap spec in the whole game. Not the adrenaline nerf, that’s fine because only crappy warriors miss earthshaker, but the other nerfs, like hammer damage and berserker stance. Shoutbow is an absolute crap build that symbolizes everything disgusting in this meta, bring back the strength and power of the glorious Hambow and get rid of this horn kitten sheet.

won’t “hamshout”.. be a thing after the update? adrenaline on shouts will make up for the loss of burst mastery. you won’t have the stances though but even more sustain. 00666 i guess.

I’m running hamshout with 00662 currently, and will be switching to 00666 when specialisations arrive. I don’t like builds without cc, and as such I will take fun (hammer) over meta. hammer is still a brutal cc machine and really works. still, I have no hate for shoutbow, and can’t see what’s so lame about setting people on fire and impaling them on your blade.

they pretty much killed the stance hambow by putting burst mastery vs merciless hammer in the gm slot. ofc you can still play it, but with 20% less damage or a bad burst skills uptime.

Shout Hambow will be born guys. Stance hambow may be dead, and yes, it will be a lot less skillful, but shouts will save hammer and gives the hambow a decent chance to compete against shoutbow.
Obviously there will be a lot less “plays” to make, but the dodgecounting, fakecasting, dodgeluring, even shoutluring will differentiate a good hamshout from a bad one very easily.
But still, i vote +10 for separating burst mastery and merciless hammer.
Also, make fast hands baseline. Also make cleansing ire a minor trait ( because nothing is able to compete with it, not even kittening torment and confusion on all your autoattacks f.e. )

considering how braindead shoutbow is, hambow was definately higher skillcap to play…and way easier to counter…
let alone looking at celestial meta atm i can safely say that it still required more skill than all this celestial bs…at least you couldn’t just spam kitten and still had to wait and time your skills while pretty much everything outside thief it’s spam to win in current celestial meta…let alone almost anything you do on celestial specs it’s also team support for even moar spam oriented playstyle, i mean look at all those celestial eles around: i bet that probably less than 1 out of 10 actually uses his skill wisely….9 out of 10 just memorize skill rotation and that’s it…no matter what happens around them, and still they can sustain themselves and their team with absolutely no clue bout what are they doing…same goes for shout spam or engi random passive procs, nades and ccs..

only cc hambow has that my hamshout doesn’t is pindown, but I have that shieldbash to set up final thrust with. I got 4 shouts that AOE heal for 2k and remove condis. also 2k power and over 3k armour. might not have stab for stomp, but I am quite the friend in the midfight.
I can heal ya, peel for ya, and kill.

what do you mean with chill. warrior’s sprint was always taken on hambow so nothing changes there, you use sword 2 and that’s where the kiting/mobility comes from.

See, even they put merciless hammer and burst mastery together.
You can pick, now in master, Brawler’s recovery to cover your condition clear lose.
And also you can take Defy pain with merciless hammer now, before you can only take one.
and you will have 3 grand master trait, so you can either take Berserker power for +% damage.

Try duelling an engi, or an ele, or a shoutbow on point. If you’re at the same level you’ll lose 9/10. Try disengaging as a hambow in a 2v1, or even just kiting them for 20years till support comes. Just try it.
Hambow itself didnt got nerfed that badly ( besides the fact that no yolo-hammerstuns are allowed but that’s low tier problems). It’s the meta that switched to somehting where hambow just isnt viable compared to shoutbow. Shouthambow post patch will be viable imo. cuz insane support, adrenaline on demand, high cc for kiting and bursting. And the burst will be a lot higher than the shoutbow burst. But yeah, we’ll see.

Hambow may not be the best at Dueling but it is the best at setting up other people’s burst. Try rolling with your team rather than trying to win all the solo fights.
Let’s bring back the decap engi, the spiritrangers (in their full past strength), stunlock, and the (since-release nerfed) heartseeker OP nuke damage. That will make the game more fun! 15k heartseekers, immortal engies, AI zoofest and forever stunned impressions! Yaaay!

decap engi still exists and is still very strong and can tank up to 3 players if you know how to play, people just go braindead turrets though.
i agree with bringing back spirit ranger, wouldn’t be that op anymore.
if you min s/d thieves with “stunlock” then np, bring them back too, would take more skill than the current thieves builds anyway.
