How could such people be awarded diamond or legendary? When they play 5 man premade(with low division friend to exploit mmr) and farm stronghold only? This league system is a kittening joke. It is a insult to all the skillful players. Now I see a player with legendary plate the first thing comes into my mind is: exploiter, not that he is god in pvp.
And yes, I won some of the matches but that’s because they are not really legendary/diamond players, they are kittening exploiters. (Thanks to my teammates)
Stronghold should never be part of ranked pvp just like court yard, the map is utterly unbalanced. The team without ele will definitely lose. (Although it is similar in conquest but with proper rotation there is still a chance without ele.)
However, I’m not saying conquest is ok. It’s just a little better than stronghold.
Anet if you cant balance the kittening game, please make sure each team has the same number of meta builds. Or change your mmr algorithm kitten , let’s say non-meta/soloque players decreases the probability of wining by xx% so we should lose less pips against 5man permade and meta players. The current system is stupid as kitten, I still lose pips for the match shown below: 1) 5man premade 2) stronghold farm team 3) 3 diamond 4) they had 2 more meta builds. There are worse matches but I was too rage to take a screenshot. I think I saw someone posted a match in the pvp section with 5 man premade (3 legendary 1 diamond 1 amber) against 5 sapphire soloque players. I’m gonna add that photo once I found it.
