Build Wars 2
@$20 an hour! It’s worth it!
In my opinion its good that proffesions counter each other. This happens in every MMO, also in GW1. This will make teamfights more intresting. Try to focus down the person that counter’s you the most. Ofcourse in 1v1 situations this is very annoying, but there are moments where it is just better to run away and find members of your team. However, if you are skilled enough with a class u can do a lot of damage without taking a lot in every 1v1 situation.

You complainin about abilities that remove a bajillion stacks of bleeds and poison are OP?
Can I also complain that the ability of certain specs to apply bajillion stack of bleeds and poison in a matter of seconds is OP hence making it sort of mandatory to bring some sort of condition removal or else you’re toast even if your enemy has left you far off after applying those ungodly stacks on you and you can’t do nuts about them, you just gon have to wait for yourself to die a horrible horrible death?
And mesmurs dun have a thingamajig that converts conditions to boons. They have Null Field which removes boons from enemies and removes conditions from allies with a 45 second CD. Necros have the skill you’re talking about. And it’s on a freakin 60 second cooldown.
Seriously dude -_-

Sorry guys, I’m not gonna say balance in this game is perfect, but it’s a lot better than any other MMO out there, so I don’t think you have cause to complain. I mostly pvp with a condition necro, and I accept the fact that there are some professions I’m going to have trouble with (eg bunker eles). And even so, once in a blue moon, either cause I caught them with all their cantrips on cooldown or because I’m just better than them, I’ll beat one, and it feels pretty good! In GW1 that never happened, some builds were just hard counters to others. If you have trouble against specific classes, ask for tips and practice.
The balance overall is pretty good (besides tons of bugs). I think balancing the game is not first priority. A-Net needs to rework the reward system, some new mods and ladders to be able to achieve something.
I have been pvping for quite a while and one of the things that I absolutely HATE is when someone has a build that counters mine, which mine is based around conditions and the other person say a mesmer is using the utility that converts all conditions into boons and the cooldowns seem to go so fast that i just cant damage the person now i have my condition damage maxed out and do about 200 damage for my bleed and 300 damage for my poison this is a lot of damage and when these guys have so many condition cures and extremely quick cool downs that its just flat out ridiculous and pointless to try and fight that so you end up quitting probably getting kitten off because its used as a utility then you end up falling in line with these heart seeker spam types this ability is stupid, its ridiculously overpowered and its probably better off being removed from the pvp side of the game or stuck on the one major heal that someone has
I totally agree with the OP in that its ridiculous to not have comas and dots in ur kboard like other peeps have and that would be quite handy when typing down inchoerent rants about professions that are extremely annoying even more annoying than this wall of letters im sure some dots and comas would help a lot like this: ,…;
There you have it. Dots. Plenty of dots.
Speaking of the issue at hand, dot dmg (hahahaha), i also agree that its hateful when someone has a build that counters mine. It should not happen, ever. I should be uncounterable. Specially when i have a condition build with 3140 malice. When someone makes a build with 3140 condition dmg, that will produce bleeds ticking for 200 dmg per sec, i should not be countered. Even if that same build does not produce the correponding 398 poison dmg that it should, producing 300 dmg ticks instead. Somehow im confused, something doesnt compute. Oh well. All that could have been avoided if Anet listened to that guy, a famous WOW Gladiator DK called Reinhardt (or something like that) that made a remarkable work of sorts explaining why GW2 needs a healer NPC that heals ppl when inside a 4 wall arena (?). As he so eloquently explained, Mesmers have something called Null Void (pretty much like the void in his head) that erradicate all 200 dmg bleeds from them. It should have a 3 min CD. It should be Elite skill. Pretty much like Heartseeker. Those types are annoying. After all, 200 dmg bleeds and 300 dmg poison is a lot of dmg.
I feel your pain.
what eduardo says is a true gw2 bible. everyone come here and listen (read) the truth.
how can be gw2 so bad at this? howwww???

periods and commas are your friends.
But seriously, it’s not build wars because a class has a lot of condi cleanses.
I know, it’s bullkitten that some classes are extremely strong against conditions and some extremely weak against them. Personally I think they need to take a look at adding more personal condi cleanses on classes that need them (warriors, mesmers) and less AoE ones
This game’s balance with regards to conditions is in the kittenter 30x over.
The Mesmer has 4. I think that’s enough. The warrior has 2 and one of them remove all conditions and can be on a short cooldown.
@the OP
Play the first build in this guide. No amount of condi cleansing can deal with how fast you apply conditions on that build. Also it has combo-field might-stacking so you look like a pro.

You deal 200 with bleeding and 300 with poison?
kitten man, i’m a kittenty ranger and all i get is 100 damage less each.
I wish someone competent would fix me.
The Mesmer has 4… And please tell me where we have this skill that converts all conditions to boons? I have most certainly never seen it… We have arcane thievery which steals 3 boons gives 3 conditions (used to be all… about 6 months ago). Then we have nullfield which only removes conditions from us and boons from you… and its ground targeted… Then we have mantra of resolve which can cure two conditions per charge… Lastly we have iDisenchanter which… LOL… We can spend a couple trait points like on the torch go to master… but because confusion is so bad in sPvP most people spend that trait on something else…. Then we have menders purity which removes a whopping one condition per heal. OP please tell me the name of the Mesmer that converted all of your conditions to boons so I can shake is hand… lol…
I don’t understand the point of this thread. Some mechanics are meant to counter others, I don’t see the issue. I will say that condi classes might have a larger spectrum of professions that can handle them but thats about all I will say. This to me is more of a learn to play issue. If your fighting something that is a hard counter to what your class/build does than you should probably do 1 of a couple things;
1. Swap targets
2. Call upon a team member who can handle said class better
3. Review your build and see if you cant make it more balanced so you aren’t hard countered as often.
4. Quit the game, make a QQ thread and blame others for your lack of insight/knowledge
*game isn’t balanced and some professions will inevitably be superior and in that case you just have to hope that eventually the Anet team will address them properly (looking at you eles)
