Guild Wars 2

In Guild Wars 1, we could create builds and save them, or even copy a template off the net and save it. This would save valuable time especially when wanting to play a different build on particular class without having to manually change your gear, traits and weapons.

I know this probably has been touched on, but Guild Wars 2 offers nothing like this. Everytime I wish to play a different build, I have to manually change my stats, gear etc and it is frustrating because there are times when I don’t play a particular build for months, and then have to remember what traits, runes etc to change. This is such a time waster, so the only way around this was to create 2 new characters of the same class to accommodate different builds. It is quicker to log out and just select the other character, than to manually change traits, gear etc. The problem with this is that not all of us have extra character slots (I bought 3 more).

Please Anet can you introduce a system where we can save a build, and incorporate a menu system that drops down in which we can select the saved build for our characters. This would be especially helpful in PVP and ultimately give us more play time and less ‘admin’ time.

Arena net already knows people want builds, you did not have to make another pointless thread stating the obvious. Builds will not be in the game until a long time after HOT. Finally, get over the fact that this isn’t guild wars 1 and also avoid telling sob stories.

He’s offering a serious suggestion that could make PvP much better. Don’t throw out a good idea merely because “it comes from GW1”. This forum is full of people making suggestions. Those are not “sob stories”. They are what this forum is here for.

Oh well, it’s only the third year after game release. By the time Guild Wars 3: Revenge of the Mermaid DLC gets released I am sure we will get build templates.
