Builds that I think need to be looked into.
Concerns with Frenzy > Hundred Blades are as old as the forums themselves. They’re a time honored tradition, and I’m not sure what we’d discuss without them.
Joking aside, the build can dish out incredible damage, but experienced players are largely able to predict and easily avoid this combo. In short, it’s really not much of a problem in competitive play.
That said, there’s something to be said for addressing the concerns of less experienced players. Getting one shotted by Hundred Blades when you’re just learning the game can be incredibly frustrating.
I think it’s likely that ANet will address this issue in a future patch. I just hope they find a way to do it that won’t impact competitive play too much, because Warriors really aren’t overpowered in tPvP, imo.
there’s really nothing to look into
you’ve built whole spec to max damage, and you’re surprised you can kill noobs in hotjoin?
This is what JonPeters mean by Warrior being “Master Yi”
This build is legit pub-stomper and has VERY little thought process. In short, its a garbage build in the long run because it has ZERO stun breaks and no mobile strikes.
You don’t want Master Yi, you want Irelia + release Xin in one package.
It’s more about downing people then anything else I don’t think any build should be able to do it this fast and yes in tpvp this would be a bad build.

then you’re having a moment of realization i guess. gw has always had emphasis on fast combat and potential for insta-kills from focus fire.
Frenzy + chop / double chop / tripple chop = better then frenzy + whirling axe unless fighting a group, then your are probably dead before your frenzy ends.

With a build like that you likely die at least as much as you kill. Atrocious survivability. I love warrior Greatsword/Axe but I roll defensively with 20, 0, 30, 0, 20 and often have 300+ points hot join games with no death. I could never pull that off when I played glass canon.
I’m tending towards that said 100b warrior is fine. It definitely was frustrating for me at first, but I think it’s a learning curve that anyone is capable of overcoming if only they are willing.
With the current hotjoin system perversed on various levels, such high burst damage builds do indeed yield easy kills. But, and hopefully, once the system is fixed, and the majority of players see the game as a proper team game, these builds will be viewed with the proper perspective, which is already present in tPvP plays
1 stun break and your warrior just died.
Most non-glass cannon builds have at least 1 stun break built into their build.
I expected backstab thief, shatter mesmer or bunker ele but no a squishy DPS warrior without endure pain and shieldblock >_>
