Bunker builds are cheap.

This has been the case since day 1 of the game.
Bunkers define the meta-game of Guild Wars 2.
If you had any hopes ANet may address this at some point, well as of yesterday ANet officially considers Guardians to be “fine”.
So nothing will change.
No other class will get a chance at being a main bunker. All a Guardian has to do is run in circles, spam 1 and occasionally use his cooldowns whenever he/she feels like it.
That my friends, is skillful play in GW2. If you want a fun and enjoyable PvP experience, look elsewhere.
Well looking at changes, more bunke traits, zerker nerf and healer eles on the way. So it may only get worse in terms of that style of gameplay.
Although at least a token new map with no conquest nodes, so that’s a small step in the right direction….

Well, we have a new map but not a new mode… anet listening players like always.

Yeah, more ppl that don’t understand the game complain. And on the level of soloq you are even able to kill a guard in a 1v1.
That’s unfortunate to hear. GW2 has some of the best combat I’ve seen in a MMORPG. I’ll continue to try to adapt but I wish Anet would take PvP in a much different direction.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind running into a player that chooses to play defensively and make their character a little more bulky, it’s just some bunker builds seem absolutely ridiculous.

If there is something I don’t understand or am missing please let me know. There are many 1v1s I win against guardians, but I’m talking about the bunker builds. It seems even if it were possible to beat one 1v1 it would literally take 5 minutes of uninterrupted dpsing him down, grinding away at his health and not making a single mistake. It changes the game from a fast paced, mobile type game, into a little mini boss fight every time you go to the point.
How do you approach this if it isn’t an issue to you?
Decappers and Bunkers why I hate pvp in this game. They outline the exact issue with the current form of conquest. Pvp is DISCOURAGED and what’s encouraged is stacking stability and survivability to stand on a circle and characters made to do little damage and just push people off a circle. That’s our “pvp” defense and offense…
