Burning...(another QQ)
Their threat had little to do with burning but more to do with them being a premade.
To be perfectly blunt, it is kindergarten easy to beat their comp. If you solo queued, blame the system for matching you vs them. If you were in a premade, then you guys are terrible, pls go back to pve.
And no burning is not too strong, you can immediately deny them from damaging you, unlike physical damage.
One bunker guard and that team’s DPS just went down the toilet.

I’m a cheesy scrub and yet I easily kill burn guardians, trap rangers, burn engies with a humble ranger and even moreso with an ele. I laff out loud killing burn givers with a necro. Cant touch me on warrior. No excuses.

That being said, with SO many players running burn builds now, not surprised a lot of people would come out loudly and angrily insisting burning be kept as it is. The most powerful, popular source of damage. :P

I kind of like burning sometimes, if for no other reason than to let them stack up on my necro and send them hurtling back. Like nope you can keep these X3
Burn guards get countered by Generosity sigils.
Flamethrower engi is a one trick pony, they have a huge condi burst, but that one is on a whopping 50s cooldown. If you cleanse or dodge the initial burning you will survive easily.
Trap ranger is easily countered by not standing in the traps. Just dodge into them so they trigger.
Dodge entangle otherwise you’re probably toast, but not a huge problem since entangle has the most obvious animation ever.
Condi ranger is slow, just kite him around or cc him.
1v1’ing cele dd eles on point is a bad idea and everybody knows they are currently overpowered. Dodge Burning Speed & firegrab, don’t walk through ring of fire. If you have to, dodge through it so you don’t get burned.
Still think burning could use a small nerf to bring it more in line with other conditions, but many people are overreacting or refuse to run more condi remove. If the meta changes, you got to adapt to it.

Well that’s kinda the fault of each person in your team that didn’t carry cleansing. All my characters have cleanses.
Out of the 5 burners you went against, only 2 (the eles) could deliver physical damage. The other 3, once their condi bursts are on CD, are pretty much sitting ducks. Your team wasn’t helpless, you guys actually had the upper hand.
One last thing, Trap rangers are not a threat at all. Burns from traps are a ripoff for them. They don’t multi-stack, they pulse. Once you’ve set the trap, just back out of it and you wont get 6 stacks of burning like you would from ring of fire.

I play sometimes a burn guardian build, the same about one of my guild members that play spvp with me.
We noth noticed we kill more people with direct damage than with burn damage.
I don’t wrote “deal more damage”, i wrote “kill more people”.
The problem isn’t “how damage you can deal”, the problem is “how many players you can kill”.
Basicly, with my burn build I deal more damage than with my classic dps build but I kill them more slowly, my damage is more variable and a lot of classes and builds clean or send back my burn, making me unefficent at all.
Then, if you die after 90k of burn you had Survived that 90k of burn!!!
A direct damage build with a combo of GS and scepter+focus/torch can deal a little lesser burst damage but it’s damage can’t be cleaned or sent back and is still easier continue to deal damage still when you end your first skills combo why you can still use a lot of destructive skills to deal damage.
The problem of burn is:
-easy to clean
-can be sent back by skills and sigils (try generosity against a burn guardian and see him burn by itself)
-is so hated that every skilled player know how to kill a burn user (expecially guardians)
-it’s damage is variable, based on the composition of the enemy team and builds (much more than direct damage)
-you can barely deal no damage at all if the enemy team have a shout guardian or your enemy have enough condi clean/immunity skills (ele, guardian, warrior, ranger…)
The burn damage is the best I’ve ever seen, expecially if used by a elementalist.
I’ve see 10k/sec on me when the burn stack comes out and eles starts to abuse of that damage with rabid+25might that grant them 2500 of condition damage, but now I know how to fight a condi ele.
in PvE in big events I use my guardian why I can deal 4-5k/sec to big bosses, the double than with my necromancer dps in shroud.
But in sPvP, in high rank, is a bad build, the guardian burn, why it’s really hard countered by a large amount of builds and premade teams.
But yes, in low rank fights it’s a real Plague.
You only have to make practice and add 1 or 2 condi clean trait/skill to your build.

Doesn’t affect at all coz I don’t run full condi builds. And if they did nerf the builds Im currently running, I’ll still do well coz I adapt and thrive.

Nothing wrong with condi. just the fact that, burning = up to 44k damage in the course of 10 seconds. It’s ridiculously overpowered and needs to be nerfed.

You stack any build for the most part and it seems ridiculous… And an entire team stacking burn specs does not illustrate that burn is over powered… you could do the same thing with anything else – Bleeds, Confusion, Torment – and you would have the same response.

I’m not talking about team stacking. I’m talking about one class (any with burn) having the DPS add up to 1.5k per stack.

You made yourself sound like a helpless victim and you didn’t mention on your OP about your teams comp. Since you were complaining about burns in general you made it seem like things were normal from your end and that the opponents all being burn givers were not normal.
The games matchmaking governs a big part of what you’ll confront. It’s up to your team to adjust and balance out your comp. If you guys knew your comp would be hard countered but made no effort to improve while breathing with your mouths open, then yeah, I’m not surprised of the outcome.

Yeah, this is how I feel. Pretty much every condi build feels way better to me with a cele amulet because I’m not as kitten against anyone good at managing condi removal. Maybe burning does a little, and I mean a little too much damage, but it has a ton of counterplay. It certainly isn’t comparable in effectiveness to a lot of burst builds.
Also, most of the other condis need damage buffs, can’t remember the last time I saw a condi build based around something other than burn.
