So I think CMC put it perfectly when he discussed why he was using diamond skin:

“I use diamond skin for those few moments when it is completely and kittenedly broken. 90% of the time (see wut I did there) it is completely useless.” not exact quote

Diamond skin is only broken in straight up duels against pure condi, 0 power builds that can’t even do 1500 direct damage. Otherwise it sucks. Especially since to go 30 in earth you either have to drop 15 water for heal on attunement or 30 arcana for evasive arcana, meaning once you drop below 90% hp it’s very hard to get back above 90%.

Despite all their kicking and screaming, condition abusers are still ridiculous and barely countered by this trait at all.
