CTF Gamemode
I’m with ya. Bigger maps with bigger teams would be nice too. God I miss WoW bgs
I’d be behind any game type that wasn’t just another conquest.
I’d like a King of the Hill match too. Most of the conquest maps degenerate into a KOTH anyway so just embrace it.
Honestly, they wouldn’t need a new map. Just put it on foefire. The flag carrier would have to have all their utilities locked, and new 1-5 skills on the flag. No movement speed buffs, portal, etc. Otherwise I would worry thieves would just dominate.
Similarly, king of the hill could be played pretty easily on most of the maps (I’m thinking more free for all then team based). Basically, points for being in the hill, and points for kills in the hill with the hill moving around every X seconds. Wouldn’t be out of place on khylo or courtyard. They probably won’t do this though because of the population.

Meta would either be 2-3 bunker guardians or eles healing each other while carrying the flag or if you don’t drop it when you teleport then 1 perma evasion bunker thief and it’s GG.
It would be a failure.

GW1 it wasnt just CTF and the way that the builds works in GW2 and all the mechanic of the game i think that will not work (p.s great fun of gvg at GW1)
Could use the Stronghold map for CTF, lord room to lord room?

I think most people can agree that they would like to see more pvp game modes like with GW1. Spamming conquest over and over gets boring after a while.

I think most people would also agree that resources should be spent on developing a gamemode that makes sense instead of something that’s as obviously bad for GW2’s combat as CTF.
Can’t have good CTF without headshots anyway, not the right game
Capture the flag is fun on FPS because you can kill the enemy with 1 good shot and make him drop the flag. Those games also tend to let you kill from very far away (snipers). In an mmorpg like gw2 people can spec for bunkers and enemy can’t do much dgm from range (higher than 1200).
