I want to know if Anet can manually move people in ratings? Or if we can have another soft reset next season with DC’s not counting towards people placement matches.

I ask because while I was in Gold my matches were fantastic with scores like 499-501, 470-500, 490-502 and after a few bad games I now find myself dropping in ratings due to players being less skilled or making more mistakes and with every game the allies get worse creating a plummet sort of feeling.

My enemies are too easy to take down, I rarely come across another player in my tier that makes me say “oh he’s got skill or played for longer than a week” not too mention I just had a game on Thief that had 3 enemies chasing me around the map all game while my allies 4v2 home all game. I’m not the best thief or player but I feel that scenario should have been enough to give my team at least a 2v1 on 2 nodes to our advantage.

I’m going to give it a few more days but if I drop to bronze from having these sort of team mates then apologies in advance to anyone in bronze because I’ll be playing joke builds and treating PvP as such.

(P.S: The Placement Matches should not have DC’s counted towards your placements, the only games I lost in my placements was because of people who raged and quit which I think is why I’m getting frustrated with the players I’ve been forced to play with now.)

Now before people misconstrue what was said: I only want the good games back again where I am against players of similar skill and can make room to improve my own game, The quality of those matches have most kills at 4-5, not 27 or something crazy.

Placement already doesn’t include games which had a dc. I was placed with 6-2 games due to 2 games with either a dc or ragequitter. Otherwise I would have been placed with 7-3 so it also doesn’t count games you won 5v4.

I was having a similar experience, as a solo queue player, and had to trash the meta Druid build because it is designed for a higher level of team play than I am getting in gold.

I changed it to be over the top in support and healing to try to keep less experienced allies alive, and that has been working really well. Being a mechanical genius on your meta build is not going to work out this season.

Most players have switched to builds to game the system. Either pick a build that excels at destroying weak players on the opposing team, or one that excels at keeping weak players on your team alive. Chances are there are going to be one or two on each team, so take advantage of that. That’s why you see so many DH and Ele.

They are taking advantage of the matchmakers inability to separate new players from more experienced.

They must have changed that after day 1 then because mine was counted as losses and so was the person I was queuing with.

Good advice Archon but sadly I tried all that too lol…

If you dc with someone in your party then both of you get punished but the rest of your team doesn’t.

Yeah, I went with Shoutbow Druid instead of the typical Bunker Druid for this reason. I can provide decent damage from range, then rush in and heal up and support allies when needed, pull downed allies out of harm’s way with “Search and Rescue”, and I have great mobility to help me out-rotate the enemy when they are zerging a point.

Between that and putting in more of an effort to get my team to work together, matches have been great.

I can’t do it!!!!!!!!!!!! Even with a heal the world build, I’m not sure who I’m meant to be healing. (take note of the minimaps)

It doesn’t matter what build I play, Its almost impossible to win due to my team mates, I can not be in 2 places at once.
