I hate Season 3 MM.

Queue’d with 3 thieves one game. The one that refused to switch was absolute kitten and we lost. I feel bad for the 2 that did switch b/c i know they were light years better than that one that refused.

I lost a 150 pt lead b/c people failed to understand that foefire is a snowball map and wiping 3 at a time is a failure. Why disengage a lost fight to regroup elsewhere is beyond me LOL…

I’ve had REALLY bad teammates. I honestly DO NOT understand how these players are in sapph to start….

Season 2 was better for me b/c i didn’t get paired with BAD players. Like a 3 man team who refused to watch home, and zerg mid all game long. Only to lose all team fights LOL.

It might even out in the end but i highly doubt it.

A turkey shoot?? Trying 5 matches for 5 losses, all blowouts. It’s all good though as it’s totally my fault for not carrying it, right?

Yea i tend to get those 3man premades all the time. So i thought being sapphire right away would give me decent teammates but then i get a scrub sapphire in my team that is teamed up with downstate food amber + emerald. Just urgh…give us back soloq pls. I dont get fair matches atm.

Funny enough I was in a team with 3 thieves and 2 eles against a Mesmer, Revenant, Scrapper, Druid and Ele (dat metagame lol).

We played our mobility to our advantage, and focused down targets that were easy to interrupt for pulmonary impact, like Tempest and Druid. The Eles spec’d for more support and helped keep us alive. That’s the difference between good teammates and bad ones, I guess. I’m sorry you got the latter.

I started S3 in Sapphire (was Diamond at the end of S2). Leagues are clearly a false representation of player skill.

One thief on my team was naked running p/p d/p….

Lost one game where the other team kept a guy on home giving us a 4v5 on two points….

Granted I’m not the best player and can’t carry that hard….but kitten my teams are bad

lol my match history is 50/50 algo at its purest and most matches were pretty one sided (regardless win or los)
half of the team just sits afk at spawn lel

Wait, wait ,wait… am I to understand that they made no change at all to match making for S3? That I’m doomed to be put with the same kind of players forever if I soloq?

I’m finding that I keep fighting the same people, over and over, even though there’s only 2 of them in a party. Of course I’m always on the losing side of them so it’s just loss after loss. GJ Dev’s on that match making. It’s as if you have a pool of only 10-14 players and Anet’s idea is to put the best 5 together over and over again…

Yeah, out of the games I’ve played, one game I have good team mates who know what they are doing, other games I have the PvE numptys who have no clue how to play, how did they end up in Emerald already?

Match makeing is also not taking class into account. I’ve ended up on teams with 3 guards, and really bad guards at that.

They grinded last season until they finally made it to Sapphire or Ruby without having to lose a tier.

Yeah, that’s true. Looks like the win one lose one merry go round it is then.

Sorry, don’t mean to brush it off, and I know what you mean, experienced it often enough in the past 2 seasons. Usually, if I seemed to be hitting a streak of bad luck, I’d take a break, come back, and “usually” it’s a bit better.

If you don’t like the game you don’t have to play. They haven’t changed anything implying they never will make any significant changes only little meaningless ones.

I’ll do the minimum I have to do to finish my back piece this season (reach emerald or saphire) and then I’m done for good. Last season match making was pure nightmare for me and I sure won’t inflict myself the same more than I need to. Such a shame tho…

They also felt the need to 4v2 on home point… In both matches, with totally different players. Not forgetting the Druid who went straight for the beast in Niflhel too leaving us on mid with a “dps ele”. Good stuff.

Are u kidding me? We had 3 teefs on my team (myself included) and we smashed the other team 500-300. MM has been good to me atleast

I feel like your pain….

I was on my rev and +1 home with a mesmer on an ele. Ele takes off at 20%hp towards mid. I being a great chase class proceed to run down the ele and down him then leave em to bleed out on my way to mid.

I happen to look back because home isn’t being capped to see the mesmer stomping the ele…….we lost this game…..

Umm so you wanted ALL thieves to change class? I think that’s asking for a bit too much. Are you saying the class is not viable at all currently in pvp? O.O

Yup the best I’ve been able to get is a 50% win rate. No matter what I do the system makes me lose games. I kittening hate this kitten, and I’m tired of being paired with players who are absolutely a detriment to any form of ranked play.

p.s. I’m also tired of having 2-3 thieves on my team and having each and everyone one of the suck. Please only play thief if you are godly on it b/c I’m not here to hold your hand to get you pips.

Division fall is necessary. I haven’t touched Gw2 ever since Overwatch beta. I don’t plan to I just can’t bring myself up to it but that’s beside the point. If I read the news correctly, I need only 1 win to be put in sapphire? I’m sure im so rusty that some ambers will probably kick my kitten . I don’t even know what’s meta these days xD If I start playing again I’ll surely make some of you occasional players unhappy :c

P.S: About the division fall, if you don’t want the more casual players to feel like crap, make division fall a bit harder, like … if you are out of pips and you chain 3-5 losses you lose division. Division should be “stronger” or rather, “harder” to lose than a tier. But they still need to fall. Decent players don’t lose 5 times in a row. Regardless of teammates. If someone is losing 5 times in a row they are not playing to win and they are harming their teammates. Which is not okay for someone who’s trying to push up.

IMO Emerald should be the only safe haven. And even this has to be questionable.

Also IMO ANet should reward you everytime you cross a division, even if you are going back in a division you just fell from. Let’s face it, a huge chunk of players play ranked not because of the competition but because of the PvP wings. Let them farm it and have them gone. This way you’ll have more competitive players across divisions.

When I’m playing other competitive games I don’t see players that hate PvP doing PvP. Gw2 forces people that usually avoid pvp to go into PvP. And you get people that are nto really into PvP (like most speedrunners) but want to have the cool skins.
