Can we just get rid of Tornado?
nah, dun remove, buff it.
- triple base vitality
- double toughness
- lower recharge time
- 25% damage received
then its good to go.
Before this meta, it was kinda useful when everyone dealt little damage allowing for safety stomps and rezzes but now you can be spiked down with very little focus during that 3 seconds
When was tornado ever used for safe stomps? You’d just keep knocking it out of range.

I was googling to see if this was the case, as i thought it only knocked targets back with the #3 ability, and i came across this.
“This skill has a chance of summoning and throwing a cow.”
I now think the skill is bad, this chance needs to be higher.

Tornado changed to Typhoon. Surround yourself in a large bubble of water forcing all those contained within to fight with their under water weapons.
Isn’t it great having warrior jumping around in rampage doing twice the damage of an ele with twice more hp? Give them tornado and let eles have rampage.

I like tornado, of course it needs a buff and it’s very situational, but it gave the ele an option to get decaps, which most eles aren’t really strong at.
In stronghold, it’s definitely very useful, just because of the ability to channel with reapplying stability.
It’s also a somewhat decent counter to rampage/lich form, because of the blind. Yes, it’s not a very hard counter, but it helps you deal with them.
I think a slight buff to HP/toughness would be enough.

With machinery, bleeding means to drain fluid. Vital fluids can therefore be drained to shut the machine down. Poison just means a substance that reduces the effectiveness of something.

I like this.
If the movement speed was increased to the normal level and you could switch attunements (like with a conjure weapon) while transformed, I could easily make it work.
I do enjoy teleporting in to the middle of a big WvW zerg and using this, though I usually die very quickly afterwards.
How about…
“Create an Electrified Tornado and launch enemies away from target location. The tornado will reflect incoming projectiles for x seconds and will periodically send out arcing lightning bolts to damage nearby enemies.”
the skill will then chain to:
“Command your Tornado to periodically send out dust devils that blind nearby enemies instead”.
If this change takes place, then Elixir X will no longer be able to turn one into a tornado, but into a Lich, making Elixir X into a Power-oriented elite skill. I’ve been seeing a lot less power necros in sPvP lately (but also far fewer Tornado eles) so hopefully adding Lich to Elixir X won’t break things.
Engi getting to choose between either getting OP or stupidly strong as their elite? Great kittening idea.
I’d be more in line for Tornado either destroying projectiles or reflecting them(I mean it’s a tornado?), increase Vitality, and a boost in DPS. Then I’d consider it on par with other transformation skills.

More like getting bored. My 0 key is the loneliest key on my Elementalist for nearly 3 years. If it wasn’t for other professions I wouldn’t even have my elite hotkey’ed.
