Outside of PvP seasons, there is very little reason to play ranked pvp as the queues take a very long time and there isn’t really much benefit as opposed to playing unranked.

I think Arenanet should make the season rankings a full time thing, like other games where you do not have to be in the middle of a season to get a rank, and ranked play is just a part of the game instead of being in a season. (eg CSGO)

Sure the seasons are fun and all, but outside of them it is really pointless to even have ranked still there, and when you do queue unranked you get matched with players who say “its only unranked, i’m just practicing” such and such, so for us competitive players it really sucks because in order to get matched with players who are half serious and have a relatively similar skill level we have to wait 15-20m queues for ranked, which gives us no benefit.

Please do something about this.

Not really sure that I agree off-season ranked is where you find people with a similar skill level. Realistically you just have to be dedicated to self-improvement and try your best to carry the team in the off-season. Not that you shouldn’t do that during the season, but in the off-season you’re going to have to carry no matter what. If you want better teammates then you need to queue with them rather than expecting MMR to do it for you.

The new Ranked Season coming out will be solo/duo queue so no more actually queueing with a team for a team game mode….

You ever heard of quitting the q and requeuing? Fixes that problem and it’s been that way since I can remember. I have really good memory btw, just to put that previous statement into context.
