Currently Regeneration itself does not offer that much compared to Protection/Vigor, it has nothing that can really proc off it and it offers no real bonuses against its condition: Poison.

Regeneration should additionally increase healing received by 25-33%, to be a direct counter to poison.

Although, poison would be much better still because of how the formula works.

Regeneration
1000 Base + 33% Regeneration = 1333

Poison
Full – 33% = 666.7

Poison would always be better because it subtracts the total instead of adding to the base.

1000 + Regeneration = 1333, but then is countered by poison which makes it 893.

The Regeneration boon grants healing over time determined by the following formula:
5 + (1.5625 * Level) + (0.125 * Healing Power) per second
At level 80 this is: 130 + (0.125 * Healing Power) per second

if the person applying regeneration has 0 healing power then it is only 130 health per second at level 80.

if healing power is 1000 then it is 255 health per second at level 80.

make it so such that those who receive regeneration also receive more health based on their healing power.

i.e. warrior with 1000 healing power, summons banner that gives regeneration via trait, that warrior would receive 130 + 125 + 125 = 380 health per second.

anyone else would receive 255 + their own healing power * 0.125 health per second.

a small buff. not over powered.

Is the problem the total amount or the rate?

I find the rate is more of an issue, especially because it stacks duration. It just doesn’t fit well in the current spike damage environment.

if it stacks intensity it would be too powerful.

or make it so that it receives more health from healing power.

an extra 0.125 per 1 healing power seems not enough. what about?

0.300 per 1 healing power?
at 1000 healing power, it would be
130 + 300 = 430 health per second

combine it with the receiver getting extra based on their own healing power.
430 + 300 if their healing power is 1000 making 630 health per second
john, 1000 healing power, grants regeneration
john receives
130 (base) + 300 (giver’s healing power) + 300 (receiver’s healing power)
730 health per second

tom comes in. tom has 0 healing power
tom only receives
130 (base) + 300 (giver’s healing power)
430 health per second

how that sound?

or the “receiver healing power” part is too complex, may introduce too many bugs. just buff the “givers healing power” enough? maybe the base health per second too?

i.e. from
at level 80 it is
130 + 0.125 * healing power

then buff it up to:

150 + 0.350 * healing power

at 1000 healing power, it is 150 + 350 = 500 health per second

for a warrior with 1000 healing power,
healing signet = 233 / sec
regen = 500 / sec
adrenal health = 360 / 3 second

that would be 2599 per 3 seconds.

Regen is fine. You need to look at HPS over the course of a minute. Your idea for 1000 HP to give 500 HPS is absolutely insane. This would be the equivalent of three heal skills.

What you want to make regen better because it has 1 counter? good story.
way to go for the rangers. let’s see them regen back full health in 1 sec! totally need a buff.

Regen is definitely NOT in the need of a buff unless you plan to just take protection out of the game entirely and maybe even reduce armor values. Rangers, Ele and Guardians would literally be gods.

No thanks.

Edit: Besides that, poison isn’t even hard to cleanse for most professions (see: thief). Regen is a buff and buffs are hard to get rid of for most of us (Lol thief boon steal; also would become gods.)

I think Regeneration should be buffed to be more on-par with other boons.

They would become gods! is a horrible response, because you don’t realize how much your actually saying, if classes get to much regeneration and it becomes better then they should simply get less. However regeneration itself isn’t that great.

I think a good thing would be for regen to kind of do something to cancel out poison or make poison weaker…
