Currently as the matchmaking works, if you are a high winrate player, the matchmaking system purposely attempts to “even” your team out by placing extremely low winrate players on your team to equalize the winrates between teams. this means if you are an exceptional player, you are penalized by being placed with practically day 1 players to simply “make games even”.

This is not fun for the skilled player, nor is it fun for the newer player. Please fix this system and make it so evenly skilled players are placed into the same game. It’s extremely frustrating for both sides otherwise, and is making me quickly lose interest in the game when I get players who don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

1. Winrate doesn’t really reflect skill if you mostly soloq.
2. Matchmaking is not based on winrate, but rather MMR.

I believe they do realize matchmaking isn’t ideal but this will presist if premades and solo will be still forced to queue together and the population is still low. Obviously they could do things to make things better, but I feel like they went with the route of low queue times over higher quality matches.

I don’t really know what they are doing but match making is horrid last 2 weeks, I am wondering why i even bother try pvp anymore. It’s a joke.

I’ll take a higher quality match over faster queue times any day. as it is now, the majority of matches are extremely frustrating because you get what feels like day 1 players on your team. you’re basically being penalized for being good at the game, which should not be the case. it’s either that or you’re in a complete stomp which isn’t remotely fun either.

100% support for this post. I am tired of matches where either team is stuck with players who clearly have no business participating in ranked play. It’s not fun for anyone, including these players, as not only do they get crushed, but they also end up receiving massive amounts of verbal abuse, often from me. It’s simply not good for the game from either perspective.

I agree. Its one reason I don’t PvP. I’d rather wait longer and be put with people of similar skill than get in quickly and be totally mismatched.

Regarding matchmaking and small population; is the matchmaking bad because the population is small or is the population small because the matchmaking is bad?

pick a reason johje. it could be both. I agree something needs to be done. also wish they would just bring back the arena the premades can use. not my problem if you don’t want to wait for matches to start since you want to play with your friends.

agreed. terrible matchups. played the same team of 3 (w/ 2 soloq mix w/ them) in 2 matches back to back on Sat. night.

thats miserable matchups
