Guild Wars 2

It only seems to happen (weirdly) when I play my elementalist. I get stuck, I’m not immobilized, I’m not in any CC. My husband found a ‘temp fix’ to do “/bow” (or whatever) but when I am keeping 4 busy far, it’s highly inappropriate, and having my hands as fists (as a lot of you know by now, due to my disability [EB]), it’s kitten ed difficult to do an emote during a match. How I stay alive is thanks to the op survivability and/or bad opposition I can only suspect. My ele is my most mobile class when in a tight fight if that makes any sense. I am aware it happens to others but I notice it most on this class.

I don’t know for definite, but in this last match I noticed it after I was pushed back by a Guardian. Also in this last match I had to do an emote 4 times. I have a screenshot, but it has another team mate’s name in there and I don’t want to spend time right now trying to block it out.

This is really getting on my nerves now; apparently there are Reddit posts and others from 2-3 years ago about it. Is there any sign of a fix?

It’s a bug that has plagued the game since launch, since they haven’t fixed it in 3+ years it’s probably not going to be fixed soon, type /sit or /dance to break free of bug

There’s actually a new bug with similar effect, that makes you stop moving after you get taunted. To get out of it fast, just use any of the movement skills (Burning Speed for example). This is in addition to the old bug that makes you stuck inside floor/walls after getting pushed by some skills (for this second one, if you get pushed too deep into a texture, sometimes movement skills may not be enough and the only way to get out would be to die and respawn)

That one sounds really annoying. Yeah this is just movement, burning speed, lightning flash, nothing works except an emote. It’s definitely no fun.

Diamond skin cleansing taunt = cannot move.

I have a thread in bug report about it(but you cant bump threads). It’s a game losing and breaking issue when you can’t control your character in PvP and it can happen dozens of times in a single 15 minute PvP match.

I prefer /dance. More insulting when you manage to win after the bug.

LOL, I like that, but it’s longer to type :|… keybind…. hmm

Typing /sit while fighting a point unable to move while a warrior bashes you is frustrating as hell. But there is nothing else to be done.
Happened to me 2 times today, I almost broke my keyboard the 2nd time, pushing move keys.
