I think you make very good points.
To be honest when I play sPvP I tend to skip Raid on the Capricorn just because of the fact the map is so lame. People almost dying just jump into the water to get invul.
The ruins point should be moved like you say.
Absolutely 100% NO. It is an 8vs8 map, why on earth would you want the points so close together, it would be catastrophic if they did.
The best change they could make is making the ruins point an island, as in above water, but you still need to swim there.
It’s just an awful map. There is nothing to be done but scrap it completely. It is like a few of the wow arenas that way – just a bad idea that didn’t work out.

The ship is almost in the exact same spot as the ruins. If the point was on top of the ship, it would be the same distance. And NO one likes underwater combat compared to real combat. The simply shouldn’t be a point under water.
And the entire ship is a giant waste of pixels because it’s currently used for nothing.
I used to hate that map but I’ve learned to love Capricorn/The Ruins. I switch to a Bunker build underwater, camp it, & kill anyone who tries to take it from me. It’s rather fun.
Railing against it & constantly quitting when we got to the Capricorn map wasn’t accomplishing anything, plus, I hate running around that map with a passion. So now I just float there, watch Naruto Shippuden on the other computer, kill any interlopers that bother me, & we win. It’s win.
move ship to ruins and make that ship 2x the size… remove that cannon and remove those sharks

I’d actually like to see what would happen if they’d make Raid on The Capricorn a 4 point map, adding a point on the ship and keeping the ruins. (You don’t waste half the map because you suck at underwater combat.
This way each team can hold 2 points and kills become more important, and there will be a constant struggle to hold all the points. It’d make the map far more strategic as well, as people will be entering and exiting the ship from multiple areas as well as invading the Ruins.
how about we get rid of the sharks
I actually love raid on the capricorn simply because I love underwater combat.
So few people actually understand, or like underwater combat that I feel vastly superior to them when playing.
I guess maybe have an entire map with underwater combat, that’d be cool, or something, but for now, its the only map with underwater combat, please keeep ruins where it is!
If the point is on the ship no one would ever go underwater to fight. The point of the map is supposed to be to have underwater combat in a sPvP map. The problem is that no one wants to fight under water when you have 5 sharks eating you, even if they are neutral whoever aggroes more sharks will want to run to shore to reset. Plus they block vision which is already a problem underwater. They should just remove the sharks, then people might actually try to fight underwater.
Another idea for this map:
1. Move the cannon to the ship.
2. Make the platform the 3rd point.
3. Turn the ruins into a bonus of some sort, maybe 25 points.
This would be a great team fight map.
TL:DR: Turn the water into bonus objective points and move the capture point to the land.
