Casual Soloers will be gone in a week or less
Casual players are and have been playing pve

Indeed. I played only PvP back in the days. But some donkey had the best idea to remove soloQ. Since that day I left, and will only come back if soloQ is back… I would be ashamed if I would work at Arenanet…
I’m definitely gone from this game as long as leagues stay as is. Back to LoL where matchmaking doesn’t alienate all of the solo players.
I pvp a lot now adays, but just completely stayed out of ranked, it seems it takes away the fun factor and it just a grind fest with people exploiting system and you need a team.
gg
I think adding “team comms” could alleviate this. As solo teams we just can’t communicate effectively.
It’s more than just causal. Though we may be using different definitions. My win percentage floats between 50- 60% and I’m getting frustrated with the system. I soloq a lot so that is probably most of the problem.
With a 50% win/lose chance I’ll never get past the first tier of Emerald. If that is the point of Emerald to keep 50%ers out, cool. I can deal with that, but they need to make that clear.
and no casual noobs wont go away, they want that asc backpack and to get it they have to go to ruby? So yeah whole season will be epic fail.

No man, the system (actually all ELO, MMR systems) is created to keep you at 50% win rate. Thats the purpose. So that you play with people equal to you, atleast that is the idea of it.
The problem here is that it becomes inbalanced, as a soloQ even tho you are clearly better and should therefore in theory climb to YOUR tier. However, if you meet premades all the time it becomes twisted and you start loosing more then you should.

Pretty much this. I thought maybe I could progress in leagues at least a little bit. Wouldn’t say casual pvper, maybe moderate depending on mood. But nope, done now. Chewing on tin foil is more fun than pvp atm.
And then we’ll watch the pvp community dwindle even more…

The idea is exactly to slow your progress. It’s very much in line with what they’ve been all over the rest of the game: grind, grind, and more grind.
