We all spend a lot of time waiting for the match to start even when everyone is present. A lot of people don’t know/forget to indicate that they’re ready. Change the default to “I am ready” since most people really are ready. That way we can save quite a bit of time.

If someone is specifically not ready, let them make the choice to hit the other button.

I second the notion. I’m sick of waiting on people who signed up for something to come.
There’s no reason not to arrive on time and click the ready button other than to troll 9 other players.

Hotjoin doesn’t award points anymore unless you stay to the end, so no excuses. 2 min is too long to sit around for a solo Q. Heck people don’t even use it in team Q.

I’d rather not watch people jump around mindlessly with their Asuras, the most annoying character created in gaming history. The only reason they are played are because they are small and that is too much of an advantage I’m surprised they even created this race for a pvp game.

Correct, last person loading in would instantly start the game. This is the opposite of the ready button’s function.

Hmm, currently if you want to discuss your team’s opening before a solo queue starts, no one is obligated to respond or participate in the discussion, but no one gets angry.

If “ready” were default, I’d probably make people mad at me by “unreadying” myself and trying to convince someone to take close point. I guess I like that most matches give you 45-60 seconds with all of your teammates loaded in before they start. It…doesn’t seem like such a long wait, does it?

If the default is Ready then the game will just start immediately lol.
And I for my part don’t forget to press it, but choose not to, because I want to stay on desktop/surf internet instead of waiting those 2 min. and I don’t have to worry that everyone presses ready and I don’t notice while on desktop.

If the game starting immediately is a problem, let there be a 5 seconds warning with a big sound that the game will start in 5 seconds. Anyone who wants to “unready” themselves can do so.

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the match start instantly when everyone hits the “I am ready” button.

WHere is this button? I have been looking through my options list for hte past 20 minutes and i dont see it. Yeah solo q takes a while just for a game, hotjoin is way faster

It’s not in your options. When you enter a tournament match, there’ll be a button on the right hand side of your screen saying “I am Ready”. By default you’re not ready and you have to intentionally “be” ready.

Which I think is ridiculous given that so many people don’t even know of its existence…

If everyone on both teams have pressed the “I am ready” button the game will begin earlier.

Whatever, I still haven’t found it in my options and I’ve been looking for it with Peow Peow for like 20 minutes.

Like I said, you won’t find it in your options if that’s where you’re looking . It’s on the left hand side of the screen as soon as you enter a tournament (solo or team)

I’m sure they won’t do away with the option of being able to switch to “not ready”. I’m merely saying that the default should be “ready” in order to accommodate the vast majority of teams that play. Saves time for everyone and no one loses!
