This is my personal view on how condi should be changed in guild wars 2

to make a great power build you have to armor stat into 3 different stats:
-power
-precision
-ferocity
This leaves with little options to gain those extra stats like toughness and vitality. That is 5 different stats to setup for to get the same out put as a condi player.

To make a great condi build you must setup into at most 2 stats:
-condition damage
-expertise(if you want)
This allows the player to build into toughness and vitality without having to worry about the 2 other stats.

I think that to even out the two play styles the best option would be to make expertise more important than it is now. Increase the expertise effectiveness, but greatly reduce all condition duration to the point where the players have to take some form of condition duration to make the build effective.

I can already see one problem with this, the only way to get condi duration is through the HoT armor sets, this is why anet needs to redo the stats on condi armor.

This is my personal view on how condi should be treated in GW2. This does not mean that gw2 will do this, so don’t get too triggered.

I dont know if this post is spvp speciffic because you can only take toughness or vitality on a condi amulet, never both. You also mention armour sets which mean nothing in pvp really.

Also most condition traitlines have something that interacts with being on crit hence why most of the condition amulets have perc on them and its a useful damage stat for condition builds.

The play styles are fairly even. They do similar amounts of damage just in different ways.
