ust wanted to take some time to thank the devs for all the work they have put into sPVP as a gamemode since launch and look forward to the changes in the future. Some people haven’t been around long and don’t know what all was there from the start and what has be added. Feel free to add any I may have missed.

Over the 3 years since release sPvP has seen changes:

  • New Maps (coartyard, skyhammer, spirit watch, temple of the silent storm, legacy of the foefire)
  • Most patches balanced around sPvP
  • Reward Tracks
  • Removed old free and paid tournaments (I miss these)
  • Removed old sPvP locker in favor of using regular PvE wardrobe
  • Lowered Requirements for obtaining max PvP rank (dragon)
  • Switched all stats into a simple build page using one amulet for all stats (use to get PvP gear from a vendor with stats and had to re-equip runes every time on all 6 pieces of gear)
  • Gold rewards for completing matches

Changes coming with the expansion:

  • More reward tracks
  • New PvP finishers for each rank (HoT themed)
  • Leagues
  • New competitve pro league (with large prize pool)
  • Seasons
  • New tradeable PvP currency
