If I’m more comfortable with a profession on any given map, does switching characters allow me to return to the same match provided it hasn’t started yet? I haven’t tried it because I’d hate for a team to be 4 manned because I wanted to experiment.

you can do it and if you are playing solo it is a way to help your team. If you see that all are squishy for example .. and you change .. you help them . You have 1 minute and halft before the match start to change your build or to switch i suppose

i used to do it if in soloq and i was fighting hardconters…like if i was facing double thief comp while on shatter mes just getting hambow instead before match starts

but now i totally stopped caring bout ranked/unranked, with this matchmaking isn’t even worth the effort of swapping char since you’re gonna get condi mesmers, gs wars, p/p thieves and other bs straight from pve in your team anyway…and most times there’s no way to carry someone who manage to die 2v1 or 3v2 while going solo, to be somehow safe you need (At least) to be 2-3q so you can still manage 2 points even if other 2 guys are totally worthless, if you go solo you may end up winning 1v2 on close…then you look up and you see your team got totally wiped 4v3 already (Like 3 ppl mid facetanking lich instead of los, remove stab, cc him and so on..)

And there’s nothing you can do bout it…no matter what you play
