Talked to my only friend of 50 friends who still occasionally logs in to check on things. Didnt have a lot to say about the game..made it sound like spvp is dieng and only 1/5th or less servers are being hosted for spvp due to population drop and that ranked matches take around an hour to get going “or more depending on time zone”.
I really did like the playstyle of the spvp part of the game, tbh it was the only reason i even bought this game. But seeing as i’m currently playing other titles that are more complete for pvp “league of legends, tf2, other mmo pvp, gears of war 3, etc”, last time i logged on it felt like i was playing a beta game by comparison, and thus found myself playing them more often untill i finally stopped playing this. It made me really flash back to playing AoC before it died off. (also had a neat pvp set up…though eavily flawed with bugs that took over a year to fix and thus too late).
So i guess i’m curious…the people who are still playing. Is it as bad as my friend makes it out to be? Do you think its gonna get much better anytime soon? Do you think when it does it will repopulate or will it be like other titles (aoc as example) that fixed their game but no one cared to come back because the pop was so low?
He sounds like hes written this game off entirely and like i said the other of my 50 friends who switched to this game with me already quit long ago. Just trying to figure out if i should just wipe this game off my computer and look to future titles that hopefully capture what was good about this game…or if i should continue to follow this at all.
