While it´s anoying and the system should at least try to distribute it even on both sides it´s not a main problem. I play elementalist and am build to destroy DH and thief. I win most matches if they are stacked on the other side. If not i adapt my build a bit.
I constantly see multiple DH, double necromancer and thief.
Wouldnt it be nice if the game simply said hey I will give you +5 rating at the end no matter the result if your team bring only unique classes?
Players would be encouraged talk amongst themselves and have a wide array of classes specced for sPvP, maybe even be less toxic if they loose on a “diverse” team vs 5 DHs.
Now add +5 rating if your team lost but scored higher than 425 points as a “GG well played” bonus for a potential max of +10 points for diverse and decently even matches (ie +- 0 if you would have lost 10 ratings on the match).
But I digress. Lets go deeper down the hole instead.
I had a PM response from devs telling me, “they review forum threads based on merit”. I figure if we give them enough screenshots they won’t able to deny this is an issue.

The comp stacking can get a little crazy, but I can’t argue with Anet based on taste

Saddly i have no screenshot, but yesterday was a great game, 2 messmer 2 thiefs in each team! (Only difference, ome team got a guardian other a warrior)
Twice tripple thief on one side yesterday (but they actually swaped class afte seeing it). I don´t count DH anymore. 3+ per match is normal. I have troubles fighing multiple necros and this can be the point when i go warrior.
Today had 3 guards and 2 thief’s in enemy team, match before was 5 bunkers in enemy team, both matches where wash outs.
Im just waiting for an all guard team or an all ele/engi team, im sure its only a few games away now.

If you have “bad” stacked classes, then one of you should be switching if you really want to win. If a class is stacked because it’s too good, then it needs nerfed. There is no need to restrict class stacking.

1.) Not everyone WANTS to switch.
2.) Not everyone WANTS to communicate either.
3.) Not Everyone MULTICLASSES
4.) What if they don’t wanna switch? So do I deserve to lose because of other people not wanting to switch?
5.) If there are 2 or more classes Stacked. We HAVE NO WAY to tell What are they running. UNLESS THEY communicate, what if they Don’t?
6.) If A class is STACKED then it needs to NERFED? LOL. What if they are running 2 different builds?

I started this as a means for folks to vent a little frustration. Swapping is all well and good when stacking is on your team, not much you can do if its the opposition.

The response in question was isn’t in relation to class stacking. Which, by the way, I believe is only a symptom of much broader issues facing pvp right now.
The reason I mentioned it was to highlight Anet’s attitude to the forums. They don’t monitor the forums for genuine feedback as you expect. They cherry pick what they want to read and hear.

There are multiple ways this can be ashiefed, less lose for the loser, less win for the winner – total of points would stay
Or instead of taking/giving less – the opposite direction, if a game is 100:500 more points for the winner, more points taken from the loser
Both would end up similar for the player, but they can be balanced easily.
And for skill rating, if a game ends 400:500 i’d say they are on a similar skill level compared to a 100:500 game
I dont know how big of a issue this is but its clear that some people struggle against certain classes.
Wonder if Anet system takes into account peoples numbers when dying on certain maps to certain comps.
Anet should do the following:
1.) The matchmaker should even out classes on both sides. If it´s stacked OK but not only on one side.
2.) No class stacking in duo Q.
3.) Per class MMR and then no class swap after map roll.
If Nr. 3 is not done remove per class daily from ranked or substitute it with something new.
Don’t have any pics here but the classes I see stacked the most (in order)
Guardians (average 4 per match)
Mesmers (average 4 per match)
Druids (average 3 per match)

Had this tonight, 4 guards on opposite team, ironically we ended up destroying them, they all ran together as a group yes the entire team, and tried to bunk hard, as soon as they split they melted.
People complain about DH stacking…
today I had 4 druids in my team due to pvp daily, 3 dh in the opponent team..
Needless to say thief team lost.

lol i know right….. ive come across many triple Druid or Mesmer teams. Also lost count of the double Thief teams (always double thieves on my team while enemy has 2 or 3 DH. OFC none of the thieves will switch. Which would be fine if they could decap but either they are pve players or WvW players used to just running around in stealth and don’t realize this is conquest)

He is totally right though. Why does it actually bother you if you have duplicate classes? Like he said, balance is the problem, the DH stacking is getting out of hand because of it’s low reward play, and most people get annoyed like hell after running into dozens of traps on a small node.
Anet gives you the opportunity to solve this, but people ’don’t want to switch’. Then play and win the game as it is.
Most of your arguments don’t even make sense to be honest. You are talking like stacking a class in a team means instant loss for you. Sorry to say but it’s still roughly 90% skill and 10% team composition, there are only a very few cases where this doesnt apply (e.g. 5 thieves vs 5 DH-s, how many times you see that).
You want to get rid of class stacking, at the same time you also want to separate them by build? Because simple class stacking wouldn’t solve your ‘problem’.
People like blaming losses and everything on team compositions, then you would have the same team compositions again and again and you would be still totally steamrolled (and the other way around) every now and then.
Personally I find it absolutely diverse when you have to play against weird compositions, it makes you adapt your gameplay every time. Would be ridiculously boring to play against almost the same compositions every time.
And people talking about adding class stack restrictions and removing in prep time switching imagine the amount of tears after you still get bad setups with that and you have absolutely no chance to switch
PS: One thing I’m totally in for, change those class dailies. In my ranked tiers, it’s not a problem at all, but I can imagine it being terrible for lower tiers, and much more in unranked (as I’ve seen it every now and then)

The hillarious part about your pics, any with a daily class listed in top right corner, you are playing one of the classes.
I think Anet is trolling hard by keeping the class dailies. There’s exactly zero arguments in favour of class dailies.

Here’s my most recent match. The guard/war at the bottom of the blue list are a duo. Red is all solos. We got hammered and I lost 15 points.
Guys you should have a boon corrupt reaper learned as backup to counter teams stacked hard with warrior and guards.
