Class dailies are ruining pvp....
Normally I’d flat out disagree with you, but I feel like pvp has gotten significantly worse since that was added, now that my opinion to be fair to them, but with a near complete lack of mesmer dailies I find myself frequently pulled away from my main class, or at least less rewarded for playing it.
The purpose of the class dailies is for people to get experience with classes that they wouldn’t, otherwise. If people are playing the class specifically for the daily, then they are doing exactly what ANet wants them to do: play the class, even if just for a little bit.
If anything, it increases the general knowledge of the playerbase.
I see Koviko’s point, and it has occurred to me as well, but the practical implications of this are that there are some days that it is just less fun to play because of it.
As a mesmer, the result of the new daily structure is that on days with warriors and guardians I know I am going to have an easy time. On days with 1500 range pewpew rangers and heartseeker-spam thief groups it is best to just do one match to get two of the dailies done, and then go find something else to do that evening. This is not me hating on the latter professions at all. They are just trying to have fun, the same as I am. But, the the new class dailies have made the compositions less diverse, less balanced, and overall less fun than they used to.
Each night you can look at the daily and know precisely how much fun it is going to be. There is something inherently wrong with that.
