I’m still baffled why Anet hasn’t even attempted to balance this already. One player likely an ele, guard or engi with builds that can tie up a team at one cap for what seems like an eternity. Some of these class builds don’t seem to have a downside to them. A mix of extreme in-combat mobility, evades, and ridiculous amounts of healing while still being able to do decent damage makes them pretty much invulnerable.

I truly am baffled why certain mechanics have been allowed to persist for so long. Not so much a battle of skill, as incredulity at how the devs thinks this is balanced.

in theory, to me theres nothin wrong w/ a good tank sitting on a node. problem is when they can also deel out enough dmg to kill others, theres the issue

A bunker guard does no damage and medi don’t tank that well
A d/d ele is very killable 1v1, they debatably do too much damage for how strong they can bunker though
A cleric staff ele does no damage
A turret engi is annoying but still beatable 1v1, better to just leave em to die of old age though
A cele engi is a meh bunker

If people are 3/4v1’ing someone unsuccessfully they are outplayed as heck.

I played bunker guard in hotjoins the other day for fun. I assure you that there is no bunker in the game that can survive 3-4 average players for more than 30 seconds. Not only that, but bunker guard is AWFUL in this meta. If you can’t kill a cele on point with
3 people idk what to say dude.

Thief-+insant access to stealth-reset fight anytime want because of free reward> Permanant-Stealth: with instant access heal/remove all condition while in stealth
Cele-Engineer/Elementalist- Instant Access to Unlimited Defenses /Offence and can Tank/Heal in same time with no effort or risk required.

3-4 tank players is joke to these class because they have no risk. No Risk? How about tank 1-12 player sound?

I am afraid there is no class that can tank 3 or 4 players for any reasonable time perhaps a bunker guard for maybe 20 secs but no class can do it long enough to make any difference, besides tanking is not bunking and the point is ultimately what matters, even with only one cc each the best tank will be removed from point in 15 sec max, either by death or cc but really survival is a non issue, ele, difficulty staying on point mostly due to their own powers and space required to use them, thief survival requires stealth or at least space again hard for them to stay on point esp with 4 opponents pressure, guard, well he is gonna die,

Well I’ve experienced this several times in pugs, and I’m pretty sure most people who have played sPVP for a while will know what I’m talking about. We had 4 players hitting the ele and he/she just wouldn’t die. Personally I was running zerker with 25 stacks of bloodlust. The other people we had deposed of had time to run back from their base and picked us off.

I’ve beaten eles before, but they have a certain rotation that is timed right can make them unkillable, this includes knock downs, and wind interrupts. Eles are the worst but second are guards and on almost equal par engi.

more QQ about engineer, the class designed to loose. it’s the no stab cele/power meta that makes them seem so strong. a stab condi meta would make the class unviable, and with how the revenant is looking i’m thinking engi might drop from meta after HoT.

it’s like fighing a d/d cele ele without boonrip, vs with. one fight is long and hard, and the other is an absolute joke. run counter meta and have a good laugh.

Eh since when is there such classes? Ignoring classes and assuming perfectly equal skilled players, 2 will kill 1. Thats why we call it +1. Simple as that. Bunkers is just a matter of time.

If you can’t kill anyone within 20 seconds when you or 2 v 1 someone, basically it’s either your spec has some problem or you play it wrong. Especially when dealing with stealth, most of the time it does not even worth wasting more than 1 person on that node. If you can’t kill an ele with 3 or 4, it’s either he pops all his invulnerable yet your team still waste all CDs on him, which is pretty much a L2P issue. Also wasting 3~4 man power on an invulnerable target is just silly, 2 is enough and the other 2 should help elsewhere. The ele will lose eventually after his invulnerable skills all used up, unless your build and skill level is amazingly bad.

I had this problem only once with a warrior so im assuming he just outplayed us. But most of time if it is 1v3/4 or 2v3/4 it usually dosent last long
